Listen: Incubus release ‘Nimble Bastard’

Incubus has been teasing new music for what has seemed like a year. With pictures on Instagram and updates on social media, fans were beginning to wonder if we would ever hear the new material they were working on. On Thursday (Feb. 16), things changed when the California-founded band unleashed the lead single from their upcoming eighth studio album. The new track, “Nimble Bastard,” made its debut on KROQ’s The Kevin and Bean show with a little bit of help from guitarist Mike Einziger and drummer Jose Pasillas. Footage of Einziger and Pasillas’ time on the show can be seen here.

In addition to the premiere of the new song, Einziger further elaborated on the new album details. The new record will officially be titled 8 and is set to hit stores on April 21 through Island Record. As if the new track, the album name, and release date was not enough, the group confirmed even more tour dates with Jimmy Eat World. The “Incubus8” tour is set to begin on July 6 at the Perfect Vodka Amphitheater in West Palm Beach and wrap up on August 19 at the White River Amphitheatre in Seattle.
