After someone leaked the information surrounding CHVRCHES’ new album, the Scottish pop trio decided to go ahead and confirm the news themselves on Tumblr.

In the post, they confirmed the new album will be titled Every Open Eye and is set to be released in September. In addition to the name of the sophomore record, the group also revealed the track list, cover art, and that the lead single from the impending album would make its debut on Thursday (today, July 16) on BBC Radio 1.

But before the band could get to debuting the lead single on the radio, they went ahead and debuted three new tracks during their set at Ottawa’s RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest on Wednesday.

The three tracks, which can be seen below, are “Make Them Gold,” “Clearest Blue,” and “Leave a Trace.”

As the uploader warns, it’s not the best audio in the world due to where they were stand (in front of the speakers), but something is better than nothing.

Senses Fail Release Two New Tracks from New Album

image

With a little over a month until the release of their new album, Pull the Thorns From Your Heart, Senses Fail have unveiled two new songs from the impending record.

The two tracks, “The Courage of an Open Heart” and “Wounds” will join previously released songs  “All You Need is Already Within You” and “The Importance of the Moment of Death.”

Listen to both songs below and if you aren’t one who enjoys screaming and “aggressive” music, then you might want to skip “The Courage of an Open Heart,” but if you dig the Deftones, you might enjoy “Wounds better, though there is some screaming in that as well (come on, at the end of the day, it is Senses Fail).

Pull the Thorns From Your Heart will be release on June 30 through Pure Noise Records. Don’t forget to catch Senses Fail this Summer as they head out on tour with label mates like Handguns and Seaway on this year’s Vans Warped Tour.

Fearless Records to Re-Release ‘Punk Goes Pop Volume 6’

Fearless Records released the newest edition of their Punk Goes… series back in October, and now the record label has revealed plans to re-release the record this Summer.

The Punk Goes Pop Volume 6 reissue will include all of the tracks that were on the original release such as August Burns Red’s cover of “Wrecking Ball,” Knuckle Puck’s cover of “Chocolate,” State Champs’ cover of “Stay The Night,” and many more.

The difference with this new version of the record is the inclusion of three additional tracks that were not found on the 2014 release. The three additional tracks are: PVRIS’ cover of Sia’s “Chandelier,” Ice Nine Kill’s version of Maroon 5’s “Animals,” and lastly, I Prevail’s take on Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space.”

Check out the video for I Prevail’s cover of “Blank Space” below.

The Punk Goes Pop Volume 6 re-release will be available, digitally, on June 23.

Florence and the Machine Debut New Songs Live

With the release of Florence and the Machine’s new album still a couple of months away, the group gave fans at a London gig a surprise; a taste of four new songs.

Two of the tracks, “How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful” and “What Kind of Man” already made their debut on the internet when the news hit that the group’s follow-up to 2011’s Ceremonials would be released this year.

During the London show, they introduced two other new songs titled “St. Jude” and “Third Eye.”

Watch Gerard Way Perform Two “New” Songs Live

image

It’s been almost a year since former My Chemical Romance frontman, Gerard Way, announced that he would be pursuing a solo career with a solo on the horizon.

Time has quickly passed and now as a treat, the singer has been giving fans the chance to listen to two “new” songs that he’s had hiding up his sleeve (or funky socks. You’d understand if you follow him on Twitter).

As the singer has revealed, one of the two encore songs is a track titled “Don’t Try” which was originally intended to be featured on his debut album, Hesitant Alien. Though the song did not make the final, now it’s making a come back during his encores and it seems fans are enjoying it so much that Way is entertaining the idea of releasing it.

How, when and, if are still up in the air.

But “Don’t Try” shouldn’t be getting all the attention because a true new song has also been making its debut during the encore set. Way has confirmed that a new song titled “Kid Nothing” has been performed during the encore set with its official debut happening in London on Jan. 23.

Check out some fan shot video from way’s show last night in Paris (Jan. 18).

Fall Out Boy Aiming for January Release Date for New Album

falloutboy

With two new songs and a cover already under their belt in the last couple of months, Fall Out Boy fans are starting to wonder when their new album will be released.

In the past, the band have been coy about the release date, revealing it will be released in 2015, but a new interview with the Chicago-based band might have just revealed that the new record will be released sooner than we thought.

While in Australia, bassist Pete Wentz was asked several questions including the one most fans have been waiting to be answered: when’s the new album coming out?

“I have about five songs recorded and about ten total written. So I think we definitely could have an album out in January, I would hope,” Wentz told Mix Down Mag.

Wentz was also asked about the musical direction the album would be heading and if lead single, “Centuries” is an indicator of the sound of the new record.

“I think so, in the same way that “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)” was an indicator of the last album, or “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down” was an indicator of From Under the Cork Tree. Those are the songs that we’ll build a body of work around, but then there will be other things.”

But, if you weren’t a big fan of “Centuries,” don;t worry because Wentz also revealed that the full album won;t sound completely like that track.

“the whole album’s not going to sound like “Centuries,” but that’s a good indicator of where we’re at and what the stuff will sound like sonically.”

So, now we have to wait just a couple of months for that new Fall Out Boy album, but then again, we waited a couple of years before Save Rock and Roll was even glimmer of hope.

John Mayer Released Album Info

John Mayer

John Mayer has been a little hush about his new album, something that is new to the former over-sharing singer. In the last few month since the announcement that he would be releasing his first new album since his vocal hiatus, the singer has only released lead single, “Paper Doll” and the recently released, “Wildfire.”

Earlier in the day it was revealed that Mayer would have several guests on his new album including Frank Ocean. According to Rolling Stone magazine, Ocean will lend his voice for “Wildfire” even though the song’s lyric video had been released about a month ago.

Mayer in the past has shown that he is a fan of the singer, especially when he performed guitar on Ocean’s “White” which was featured on his hit album channelOrange. But that’s not where Mayer’s relationship with Ocean ends; Mayer was featured in the music video for “Pyramids” as well as performed alongside him on Saturday Night Live.

Also making an appearance on the album is Mayer’s lady-love and one of our favorite pop star, Katy Perry. The duo, who have been in an “on-again-off-again” relationship for a while will perform together on a country-tinged song titled, “Who You Love.” When interviewed during Milwaukee’s SummerFest, Mayer praises Perry for being patient with him during his vocal recovery and how he feels the most happy now than he has before in the past. Remember that Mayer does have a laundry list of prior high-profiled relationships.

Mayer’s new album, Paradise Valley is scheduled to be released on August 20 through Columbia Records.

The two song are titled, “Right Action” and “Love Illumination” are set to appear in the band’s upcoming album, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, due out on August 23. This will be the band’s first new album since 2007’s Tonight: Franz Ferdinand.
