Welcome to day two of the brand new year and so far, it’s been on the quiet side. For those who missed all the performances leading up to the new year due to drunkenness or shooting off fireworks, we have a few of them right here for your viewing pleasure from two of our favorite bands, Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco.

The first video come courtesy of Fall Out Boy. For the band, 2013 had to be one of the best years to date. they announced they were off hiatus, released a new album which was a complete hit, went on a tour that sold out at most if not all the tour stops and now they’re in the process of working on a short film via their music videos from Save Rock and Roll; it’s been named the Young Blood Chronicles. They also released a short EP titled the Pax Am Days a couple of months back.

Like we said, killer year.

Watch as they perform “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light ‘Em Up),” “Alone Together.” and “Young Volcanoes” on Dick Clark’s Rocking New Years Eve.

On another channel, we had Fall Out Boy’s former tour mates, Panic! at the Disco hanging out with Mario Lopez and others to countdown until the new year. Panic! were another band to have a good year as well. After drummer, Spencer Smith announced he was heading into rehab, things just got a lot better for the band.

They announced and released their new album, Too Young to Live, Too Rare to Die, toured with Fall Out Boy, and announced they would be heading out on tour in 2014. There was also that awesome honor that frontman, Brendon Urie got when he performed for Billy Joel this past weekend.

Watch as the band brought in the new year with performances of “Miss Jackson” and “This is Gospel.”

Fall Out Boy/Panic! at the Disco Mash-Up

From the second that Fall Out Boy announced that they will be taking Panic! at the Disco on their arena tour, fans have been throwing around scenarios of both bands getting together and making some sweet music together.

Last week, Panic! at the Disco released their first new song since 2011’s Vice & Virtues titled, “Miss Jackson” which sounded eerily similar to Fall Out Boy’s first single from Save Rock and Roll, “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark.”

Today, a mashed-up version of both tracks has made its way onto the internet which might just satisfy some fans’ desire for both bands to work on music together. The track, oddly enough, does have some points where the transitions are a little but iffy, but the fact that they can actually co-exist in the same track is kind of funny.

Listen to the mash-up below:

Don’t forget to check out both bands during their arena tour starting in early September.

2Chainz Remixes ‘My Songs Know’ By Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy are one of those bands that have friends in all the rap places which shouldn’t have come as a surprise when they were able to land 2Chainz to be featured in the music video for their first single, “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark.” Now, 2Chainz has decided to take his turn on the track and include himself on the actual track. The rapper has remix the track, adding a verse of his own.

Check out the full track right here:

What do you guys think, original version of the song (which can be heard here) or this remixed, 2Chainz-fied version?

My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)- Fall Out Boy

Looks like The Takeover, the Break’s Over ended up being Fall Out Boy’s message to fans not to be too bummed about their impending hiatus. Pulling a “Blink-182,” the Chicago boys managed to keep their return to the music world a secret until music website, Property of Zack, broke the news that those rumors might just be true. Now after three years of being away from the Fall Out Boy name, they have not only said that a new album is on the way (titled: Save Rock and Roll), they will also be heading out on the Save Rock and Roll Tour, but the best news of all was that they had a new song/music video, My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light ’em Up).

Check out the video and let us know is this new FOB song is what you expect as their return from the musical grave or if you expected something else?
