wpid-mtv-vmas-forum-inglewood.jpeg

This past weekend, MTV gave Europe the Europe Music Awards live from Scotland with many of music’s recent stars taking home awards for categories they previously probably won at the American version of the show.

Now, the music network (former music network?) have announced the dates for several of their upcoming award shows for the 2015 season.

The Video Music Awards, Movie Awards, Woodies and more are on the list that can currently be seen below:

MTVU Woodies Awards: The college music-centric award show will premiere live from Austin, TX during South by Southwest on Friday, Mar. 25, 2015.

MTV Movie Awards: MTV’s salute to the films that their viewers are obsessed with will air live on Sunday, Apr. 12, 2015.

Logo’s Trailblazers Awards: MTV’s little sister network will throw their annual Trailblazers Award during LGBT Pride Month, with the show airing on Sunday, June 28, 2015.

MTV2 Fan Fest featuring the MTV2 Fandom Awards: Marking its first show, the MTV Fandom Awards took place this past Summer during Comic Con with fans of television shows, movies and such voting for the reigning ruler of the fandoms. For 2015, the show will be taped on July 9, 2015 during Comic Con in San Diego and will proceed to air on Sunday, July 12, 2015.

MTV Video Music Awards: The last remaining bit of music-centric stuff the channel still has going for it, through this past year’s was a joke, will air live on Aug. 30, 215.

2014 MTV Movie Award Winners–Full List

conan-obrien-mtv-movie-awards

The MTV Movie Awards have officially called it a night and the winners of the fan chosen movie awards have now gone home with their golden popcorn award.

One of the most entertaining parts of the show was the opening sequence where host Conan O’Brien promised the “executives” at MTV that he could get 50 celebrity cameos. He went on to do so, including cameos from the cast of Seth Rogen, James Franco, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Andy Samberg and many more. O’Brein, sadly came up one short until Samberg remind him that he himself was a celebrity; hence hitting 50.

Oh yeah, there was also the part of the show where Zac Efron won “Best Shirtless Performance” and he wouldn’t take off his shirt, even with the audience cheering him on, so Rita Ora took it upon herself to give the crowd what they wanted.

Bless her.
