We would be the first to admit that Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” has become one of our Summer 2014 staples, though we aren’t sure if it’s partially due to the Clueless-inspired music video or Charli XCX’s vocals on the track. (Azalea’s rapping is whatever, in our opinion).
It looks like we aren’t the only ones who rock the song on loud in our cars. During their stop at Montreal’s Bell Centre last week, something really cool happened when the Las Vegas band covered the Top 20 hit, though it was a short cover of their version of the track which slowed down the tempo and featured a lyrics change (“From LA to Tokyo” was replaced by “From Las Vegas to Montreal”) as well as frontman Brandon Flowers’ iconic keyboards.
The coolest part of the video, which can be seen below? When a silhouette of drummer Ronnie Vannucci did a little dance to the song.
Didn’t think rock star rolled like that, huh?
We all know that things can get crazy at concert, especially at festivals like Warped Tour, but what happens when the people that are there to help protect you are the ones causing the harm? That’s exactly what happened at yesterday’s tour stop in Montreal, Canada.
During The Story So Far’s set an audience member decided that it would be wise to crowd surf even though the Warped sign telling audience members to refrain was placed on the stage for all to read. Sadly, one of the security guards decided that it was wise of them to take the punishment further than they should have. In an acquired video, straight from someone in the audience, you can see around the 0:35 mark, a security grab the crowdsurfer and threw them on the ground.
The Story So Far members quickly jumped off the stage right in the middle of the song to fend off the security guard that had roughly manhandled the crowdsurfer. Things, of course, got crazy as the video shows a fight breaking out instantly after the band members jumped off the stage. Words were exchanged and it looks like those words were not “would you like a tea party” because a melee soon began. After the craziness died down, the kid was check out and asked if he was OK, before the band returned to their previously scheduled set.
The two video from the confrontation can be seen below.
Warped founder, Kevin Lyman took to Twitter this morning to confirm what had happened and that the security company that the guard worked for haf been contacted about what took place with video proof of what occurred.
We knew that Beyoncé has fans, but we didn’t expect for those “fans” to grab a hold of her hair and not let go. Before you stat thinking that it was a rabid fan, like a human, then you would be wrong; it was actually a fan, like ones that blow air!
During her show last night in Montreal as part of her Mrs. Carter Tour show, the wind-blowing device caught a lock of Queen Bey’s hair while she was in the middle of a song. Being the professional that she is, the singer continued on with “Halo” not once missing a beat even though her hair was in peril.
All the while, security guards jumped to help her (and her hair) out of the sticky situation. Instead of shrugging it off and pretending that the incident did not take place, she found it quite comical and went on to post actual video footage, that was taken by someone in the audience pit, and posted up on her Instagram for all to watch (and laugh we take it).
But just when you though that was all that she would post on the unfortunate matter, the singer also posted up a cue sheet with a reworked version of lyrics to “Halo.” Lyrics include, “Gravity can’t begiiiiiin to pull me out of the fan again” and “I felt my hair was YANKIIIIIIIN.”
You can watch the video of Beyoncé here and the lyrics down below.
