Panic! at the Disco Debut “Hallelujah” at Shorty Awards

It’s been a couple of days since Panic! at the Disco released their first new song in two years, “Hallelujah” and now footage of the band performing the song live has surfaced online.

Before the song’s release earlier this week, the Las Vegas band announced they would be performing at the 7th Annual Shorty Awards, which took place last night, and that’s where “Hallelujah” made its official debut.

Watch the video below which features an introduction from Wyclef Jean who apparently had to improvise his entire intro because the teleprompter wasn’t working.

Also, try not to get too upset when you don’t hear anyone singing along with Panic!. It’s kind of weird seeing/hearing live footage of the band performing and not hearing some random person screaming at the top of their lungs the lyrics off-key in the background.

Anyway, check out the two song performance.

Recently, frontman Brendon Urie sat down for an interview with Alt 98.7 where he revealed that the band’s upcoming fifth studio album is “85% completed” and will have a different sound.

“It’s this mix between Sinatra and Queen, if that makes any sense…Every time we do a new album, for me, it’s always evolving and changing—in the best way. There’s going to be a new energy live.”

And we’re looking forward to that.

Watch Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco Bring in 2014

Welcome to day two of the brand new year and so far, it’s been on the quiet side. For those who missed all the performances leading up to the new year due to drunkenness or shooting off fireworks, we have a few of them right here for your viewing pleasure from two of our favorite bands, Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco.

The first video come courtesy of Fall Out Boy. For the band, 2013 had to be one of the best years to date. they announced they were off hiatus, released a new album which was a complete hit, went on a tour that sold out at most if not all the tour stops and now they’re in the process of working on a short film via their music videos from Save Rock and Roll; it’s been named the Young Blood Chronicles. They also released a short EP titled the Pax Am Days a couple of months back.

Like we said, killer year.

Watch as they perform “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light ‘Em Up),” “Alone Together.” and “Young Volcanoes” on Dick Clark’s Rocking New Years Eve.

On another channel, we had Fall Out Boy’s former tour mates, Panic! at the Disco hanging out with Mario Lopez and others to countdown until the new year. Panic! were another band to have a good year as well. After drummer, Spencer Smith announced he was heading into rehab, things just got a lot better for the band.

They announced and released their new album, Too Young to Live, Too Rare to Die, toured with Fall Out Boy, and announced they would be heading out on tour in 2014. There was also that awesome honor that frontman, Brendon Urie got when he performed for Billy Joel this past weekend.

Watch as the band brought in the new year with performances of “Miss Jackson” and “This is Gospel.”

Panic! at the Disco have been having quite a few couple of months. First, it is revealed that they would be opening for Fall Out Boy on their Save Rock and Roll arena tour and then they released a new song and news that a new album was on its way.

Even though there was good news from the Panic! camp at that time, some bad news was also revealed when drummer, Spencer Smith wrote a long letter to fans, letting them know that he had been suffering from addiction for quite sometime. Due to his addiction and desire to get better, he bowed out of the current tour.

This morning, it was revealed that the band would be streaming their new album, Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!, in full on Youtube a week ahead of time; a trend that has been gaining momentum since the beginning of the year with musicians. The album features 10 new songs, including current singles,“This Is Gospel” and “Ms. Jackson.”

The full album, like stated before, is set to be released next Tuesday, October 8 through Fueled by Ramen and can be heard below.

So, let’s be honest, what do we think about the new sound of Panic! at the Disco?

Panic! at the Disco Release New Album Info

PanicAtTheDisco_TooWeirdToLive

While Panic! at the Disco drummer, Spencer Smith has taken a leave of absence to deal with his recently revealed addiction problem, it didn’t mean that the drummer’s plans have put a damper on their new album. Yesterday, it was revealed that Panic!’s new album, Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die! will officially be release on October 8 through longtime record label, Fueled by Ramen/Decaydance.

Just the other day, the music video for the second single “This is Gospel” premiered on the internet, but that’s not where the information ends. Late last night, the tracklisting and album art was unveiled, which features frontman Brendon Urie smoking a cigarette with rainbow smoke and a song list feature ten new tracks; two which we have already heard.

Currently, Panic! are on a small club tour and then would be joining Fall Out Boy and twenty | one | pilots for an arena tour. After that, they are scheduled to be taking Europe by storm on a European tour.

Fall Out Boy/Panic! at the Disco Mash-Up

falloutboy5f-2-web

From the second that Fall Out Boy announced that they will be taking Panic! at the Disco on their arena tour, fans have been throwing around scenarios of both bands getting together and making some sweet music together.

Last week, Panic! at the Disco released their first new song since 2011’s Vice & Virtues titled, “Miss Jackson” which sounded eerily similar to Fall Out Boy’s first single from Save Rock and Roll, “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark.”

Today, a mashed-up version of both tracks has made its way onto the internet which might just satisfy some fans’ desire for both bands to work on music together. The track, oddly enough, does have some points where the transitions are a little but iffy, but the fact that they can actually co-exist in the same track is kind of funny.

Listen to the mash-up below:

Don’t forget to check out both bands during their arena tour starting in early September.

New Panic! at the Disco Music

patd

Last week, rumors were running around the web saying that Panic! At The Disco would be releasing a new song titled, “Miss Jackson” soon after members of their fan club started to receive postcard with the iconic Las Vegas sign and lyrics from Janet Jackson’s “Nasty” on the marquee.

Today, those rumors have been confirmed on the band’s Facebook where they not only released the official music video to “Miss Jackson,” they also confirmed that they will be releasing their fourth studio album, Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die! on October 8th.

Aside from the video they also wrote a brief statement which can be read below.

“Music.

It took us out of Las Vegas. It showed us the world. It introduced us to millions of amazing fans. It gave us hope. It gave us courage to be unique. To be proud of who we are as individuals. To share that pride with anyone who was brave enough to join us.

So, be proud of who you are.

Now for our next chapter, we return to Las Vegas, to the scene of the crime.

Too weird to live, too rare to die!

– Panic! at the Disco”

As if giving us anew music video and information about their new album wasn’t enough, they also revealed they will be heading out on tour aside from their already confirmed supporting role on Fall Out Boy’s Save Rock and Roll Arena Tour.
