It’s been quite sometime since we’ve heard anything from our favorite Twinkie-shaped sidekicks, the Minions, but now we’ve gotten a new trailer for their upcoming solo film.
Like the previously released trailer, we find the Minions trying to fulfill their destiny by finding a super villain master to take them under their wing. Sadly, none of the masters pan out because the Minions indirectly lead them to their demise (sorry dinosaurs, Napoleon, and Dracula).
In the new footage, the Minions have finally make their way to New York, circa 1960, where they meet super villain Scarlet Overkill who decides to take Kevin, Stuart, and Bob under her wing. The catch? She wants them to help her steal Queen Elizabeth’s crown.
As you can probably guess, since this is all B.G. (before Gru), things did not go according to Scarlet’s plan.
Check out the trailer below.
Minions hit theaters on July 10.
Have you ever wondered how exactly the minions from Despicable Me ended up in the care of mad scientist/papa Gru?
Well, if you have the minions’ solo film might just answer that question.
In the trailer for the minions’ film accurately titled Minions, we see how a minions’ goal in life is to serve a “despicable master.”
Sadly, none of the master stuck around for long, resulting in the masters’ demise often time cause by our favorite overall wearing, yellow-shaped pills.
That poor dinosaur never stood a chance and neither did Dracula.
Instead of waiting for a despicable master to appear, Kevin makes a plan to go find one which result in him, Stuart and Bob landing in New York in 1968 B.G. (before Gru, duh) as they look for a master.
Check out the trailer for the film below which will features voices by Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney, and Steve Coogan.
