Justin Timberlake and Marcus Mumford to Collaborate

JT/MM

This year started off great for Justin Timberlake, a new album, a new tour, a fantastic Grammys performance and we can’t forget he married Jessica Biel even if it was last year. Just like Timberlake, Marcus Mumford from Mumford and Sons has been a great year as well with a Grammy under his belt and actress Carey Mulligan on his arm (the two tied the knot last year).

Now word is getting out that the two musicians are in talk to collaborate on a song for the upcoming Coen brothers’ soundtrack for Inside Llewyn Davis which Timberlake appears in alongside Mumford’s wife. During an interview with Capital FM, a UK radio station, Mulligan revealed this news saying, “Marcus and myself, we all kind of worked on the music together and I don’t know any other world where we would have the opportunity to collaborate like that but it was so much fun.”

During the filming, Timberlake and Mumford apparently became great friends and decided to go through with the idea for the song. In the same interview, Timberlake followed up with, “so not only will that be a great movie, but the music to it will be fantastic.”

Inside Llewyn Davis loosely tells the story of Dave Van Ronk (or in this case Llewyn Davis), an aspiring musician during his rise to the top during the Greenwich Village scene. Timberlake plays Jim Berkey, the husband of Davis’ love interest, Jean who is played by Mulligan.

So far, no release date for the film or the soundtrack has been issued, but the first trailer is already online.
