Echelon members, it’s time to pack your overnight bags with sunscreen and bug spray because we’re going to Camp Mars!
After a day of hints and teases, Thirty Seconds to Mars have announced they will be launching their own three-day summer camp experience this August.
The experience has been named “Camp Mars” and will take place during the weekend of August 22-24 in Malibu, CA. Attendees will get the opportunity to participate in “hiking, climbing, yoga, cooking classes, raising the flag and camp fire sing-a-longs,” according to a statement released by the band.
In addition to all the summer camp-centric activities that will be offered, the band will also hold two performances during the weekend as well as numerous DJ sets to keep the fun going.
“We have always looked to do things for our audience that are fun and unique,” frontman Jared Leto told Rolling Stone about the summer camp.
“What better way to celebrate the summer than in beautiful Southern California with the Mars family in full.”
Packages for Camp Mars will be sold through Adventures in Wonderland and will officially go on sale beginning this Friday, June 19, beginning at 9 a.m. PST.
