It’s “Only the Bulls” for Fall Out Boy and Lupe Fiasco

When you’ve had the same theme song for your basketball team, how exactly do you give the song a new, modern twist to it?

According to the Chicago Bulls all you really need to do is give it to some of your hometown musicians and let them have their way with it.

Instead of coming up with a brand new theme for the team, the Bulls gave Fall Out Boy and Lupe Fiasco the challenge of modernizing the song titled “Only the Bulls.”

The remix of the song features the original composition by Ira Antelid, Cheryl Berman and Steve Schanwald will be played during the teams pre-game warm-ups and fourth quarter celebrations at the United Center in Chicago.

Check out the remixed version of the song below and tell us what you think about the update.

This isn’t the first time Fall Out Boy have teamed up with Lupe Fiasco on a track. The rapper and the band collaborated on a remixed version of FOB’s hit song, “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race” from 2007’s Infinity on High. Fiasco worked exclusively with FOB frontman, Patrick Stump on a remixed version of his song “This City” from his solo album, Soul Punk.

Lupe Fiasco must be in an ultra giving mood today because the rapper has released two new tracks in a span of a few hours. Last night, a new track from the Chicago rapper titled “Snitches” had been released onto the internet. Within a few hours, another new track, fittingly titled “Snitches 2.”

The artwork for both songs are the singles’ cover art, showing no indication on whether the two songs will make it onto the new album that he is currently in the studio recording. Reportedly, the album is titled Tetsuo & Youth and should be released sometime this year. Fiasco’s last album was 2012’s Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1

For now, “Snitches” and “Snitches 2” can be heard below.
