Fall Out Boy have been quite the busy band the last couple of days with the streaming release of their new album and unveiling of their amphitheater tour. Now comes word that the band who have become “sport music” staples with lead single “Centuries,” will be playing at a sporting event.
The National Hockey League have announced that Fall Out Boy and O.A.R. will be performing at the 2015 Honda NHL® All-Star Game slated to take place next Sunday, Jan. 25.
Fall Out Boy will play during the first intermission of the game, while O.A.R. will take over during the second intermission of the game.
As per the NHL’s press release, a “power-pop” group called Locksley will perform their song “The Whip” which is played during every Columbus Blue Jackets’ goal. This time, the song will be played to coincide with the NHL players’ introduction.
The All-Star Game will begin at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN, CBC and TVA Sports.
