Yellowcard are back with a new music video for another track off of their recently released album, Lift a Sail. The song is titled “The Deepest Well” and features Memphis may Fire frontman, Matty Mullins.

Instead of giving the song’s video an over-the-top story line, the band have decided to give it the old-school live performance treatment.

Appearing to take place during a show on their current joint tour, we see Yellowcard get joined on stage by tour mate, Mullins.

Check out the music video for the track.

Yellowcard and Memphis May Fire are currently on a co-headlining tour with support from Emarosa. The bands are scheduled to take the stage tonight at Philadelphia’s The Electric Factory. The joint tour will wrap up on Sunday, Nov. 16 in San Francisco at the Regency Ballroom.

Invisible Children Play Main Role in Yellowcard’s “One Bedroom”

wpid-yellowcard_2014.jpeg

Yellowcard are currently streaming their new album Lift A Sail over at Pandora, and after a month or so since the lead single was released, the band have finally released the music video for it.

When “One Bedroom” was released, the initial reviews of the song from fans was mixed at best, like many of the reviews for the other tracks that have been released to date.

Watch the music video for the track which put a charity that the band holds dear in the forefront: Invisible Children.

“Today we’re proud to present our new music video for “One Bedroom.” We teamed up with Invisible Children to give a look at the reality of what life is like for people in central Africa who are still being terrorized by Joseph Kony and his Lord’s Resistance Army.

Working with Invisible Children was an incredible experience. We have never had the opportunity to connect our music to something so much bigger than ourselves in such a direct way.
Together we can put an end to this unnecessary violence and bring back the women and children who are still held captive.”

Lift A Sail will be released next Tuesday, Oct. 7 through Razor & Tie Records.Lift A Sail is the follow-up to 2012’s Southern Air and marks the first record without longtime drummer, Longineu Parsons III.

At first, fans believed Anberlin drummer, Nate Young would take the vacant drum kit after his band’s final tour and official disbandment at the end of November after filling in during Warped Tour, but it turns out, Yellowcard tapped former Thursday drummer, Tucker Rule to take over during their upcoming tour with Memphis May Fire and Emarosa.

Yellowcard’s new album, Lift A Sail isn’t set to be released until Oct. 7 through Razor & Tie, but the band are giving fans the chance to listen to the record a week in advance.

As of now, the band have released a couple of songs from the upcoming ninth album including “One Bedroom,” “Transmission Home,” “Crash the Gates,” and “Make Me So.” Considering that some of their fans were the ones to spill the beans on the new record, it’s nice of them to be giving them the chance to hear the record early.

The full album currently can be heard over on Pandora.

In support of the new album, Yellowcard will be heading out on a co-headlining tour with Memphis May Fire and Emarosa. The tour is slated to begin on Oct. 16 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas and travel across North America, eventually wrapping up on Nov. 16 at San Francisco’s The Regency Ballroom. Yellowcard Stream “Make Me So”

wpid-yellowcard_2014.jpeg

Yellowcard promised fans a few days back that they would be releasing a new song from their upcoming album, Lift a Sail.

The band held onto their promise and released their second single, “Make Me So.” Listen to the track below.

Lift a Sail is the band’s ninth studio album, the first since 2012’s Southern Air and the recent departure of longtime drummer Longineu Parsons III.

Information surrounding the new album was shoved into the spotlight when a fan site manage to not only find the album art for the record, but also the tracklist on the same day that the band released the titled. For some reason, it had been posted on Indonesia’s iTunes well ahead of time.

But, even with all the information leakage, the band still managed to keep the official release date underwraps. Lift a Sail will be released on Oct. 7 through Razor & Tie Records.

In support of Lift A Sail, Yellowcard will be hitting the road with Memphis May Fire and special guests Emarosa this upcoming Fall. Tour dates for the co-headlining tour can be seen below.

Watch Yellowcard’s ‘Lift A Sail’ Trailer

wpid-yellowcard_2014.jpeg

Yellowcard might have lost the surprise after all the information about their upcoming album was leaked online, but like they say, the show must go on.

When the information about their upcoming new album, Lift a Sail was leaked, the band revealed on Twitter that they had planned to reveal all the information, themselves, in two weeks’ time (which would have been this week). Like they said, “the internet decided otherwise.”

One thing the band did manage to keep underwraps, even with all the exposed information, was the official trailer for the upcoming record. The trailer features not only tons of footage from their time on this year’s Vans Warped Tour, it also features what sounds like a new song, even though a title has not been given.

The trailer can be seen below.

Lift A Sail is set to be released in September, though the trailer says Fall 2014, through Razor & Tie Records. Don’t forget that Yellowcard will be hitting the road with Emarosa and Memphis May Fire later on this year. The tour will begin on October 16 in Las Vegas and will wrap up (according to the tour schedule) on November 16 in San Francisco.

Check out the full co-headlining tour dates here.

Yellowcard’s New Album Info Leaked

wpid-yellowcard_2014.jpeg

UPDATE: Yellowcard have taken to Twitter to confirm that the artwork, tracklist and title are all real. Sadly, the band were going to make the announcement in two weeks, but like everything, the internet beat them to the punch.

Sorry guys.

We might have just posted about Yellowcard’s upcoming tour with Memphis May Fire and Emarosa just a few hours ago, but now more Yellowcard news is coming out.

According to Absolute Punk, the Yellowcard Indonesia Twitter, which might be fan run, post what looks to be the cover art of the band’s upcoming ninth studio album. Along with the album art that was posted, the supposed name of the album as well as the tracklist was revealed. The album is titled, Lift a Sail and will feature 13 new tracks.

Absolute Punk have also pointed out that the album art and the tracklist appear to have come straight from iTunes, though how the Indonesia account managed to get it before the United States fans, is still up in the air. As much as we are grateful to finally have a name for the album instead of just referring to it as “album number nine,” it kind of stinks if the band were going to make a grand announcement, like they did the confirmation on Friday.

Check out the artwork and tracklist below and tell us what you think about it?
