It’s time to put your dancing shoes on and start belting, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!” because Kelly Clarkson is taking her show from the small screen to the Las Vegas stage.

On Monday (March 27), the Texas-born singer announced plans to make the Bakkt Theater stage (formerly the Zappos Theater) at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino her home for a few weeks this summer.

Dubbed “chemistry…an intimate night with Kelly Clarkson,” the multi-talented artist follows in the footsteps of many performers such as Britney Spears, Silk Sonic, Adele, and Celine Dion by taking some time to do a Las Vegas residency.

“I am so excited for these shows and couldn’t think of a better place to get back on stage than Las Vegas! The crowds in Vegas are such an amazing collection of people that simply want to have a great time, and that’s what we’re going to do!” Clarkson reveals in a statement.

“So many of my musical idols have had, and still have, incredible residencies on The Strip, and I’m so excited to create my own!”

According to a press release, the show was exclusively created for the Bakkt Theater. Clarkson and her longtime band will immerse fans in “an intimate music experience that spans her two-decade-long catalog of award-winning hits.”

Clarkson’s performance dates (so far) are: July 28, July 29, Aug. 2, Aug. 4, Aug. 5, Aug. 9, Aug. 11, Aug. 12, Aug. 18, and Aug. 19.

The Jonas Brothers to take over Las Vegas for a springtime residency

If you were a ‘sucker’ and missed out on the Jonas Brothers’ “Happiness Begins” tour, then we’ve got some good news for you.

The trio will perform a total of nine shows during this period, with gigs taking place on April 1, 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 15, 17, and 18.

“Let’s get it! Let’s goooooo! We’re headed to Vegas for a brand new residency at Park Theater at Park MGM,” the brothers posted on Twitter alongside a 30-second clip featuring footage from past live performances.

To get fans pumped for the upcoming event, a slew of ticket pre-sales will be available next week.

This weekend, the threesome is scheduled to appear at the Grammy Awards. During the annual event, they will take over the stage to perform their latest single, “What a Man Gotta Do.”

The Jonas Brothers are nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for their comeback (and ultra-catchy) song “Sucker.”

On Friday (Nov. 1), the multi-talented performer revealed plans to join a slew of fellow musicians who currently have Las Vegas residency gigs on their resumes.

Titled “Kelly Clarkson: Invincible,” the show is set to open on Wednesday, April 1, at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Exclusive pre-sale ticket access begins on Monday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m. PST and concludes on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 10 p.m. PST. General ticket sales start on Friday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. PST.

According to a press statement, the show will “immerse fans in a one-of-a-kind up-close music experience that rocks through her nearly two-decade-long catalog of award-winning smash hits.”

“I’ve always loved performing in Las Vegas and the high energy of the crowds there,” Clarkson reveals.

“So many of my musical idols have had, and still have, incredible residencies on The Strip, and I’m so excited to create my own!”

To announce the Las Vegas residency, Clarkson took to the stage on her talk show to perform a medley of her songs during her now-famous Kellyoke. After her own assortment, which she admits makes her feel like a tool, she dropped the bomb surrounded by showgirls.

Because the massive news wasn’t enough, Clarkson also gifted the studio audience with two vouchers apiece for the forthcoming event.

Not a bad deal.

Blink-182 to reschedule upcoming ‘Kings of the Weekend’ Las Vegas residency

A week after being forced to cancel several of their “Kings of the Weekend” Las Vegas residency shows, Blink-182 have made the tough decision of cancelling several more. On Tuesday (June 19), the California-founded band made the announcement that their upcoming “Kings of the Weekend” shows set to take place this weekend (June 23-24), have been postponed due to Travis Barker’s health.

“Unfortunately, we will need to reschedule the ‘Kings of the Weekend’ residency dates at the Palms Casino this week (June 23-24) due to blood clots in both of Travis Barker’s arms,” Blink-182’s cancellation statement reads.

“He has been ordered by his doctors to refrain from any activity that may cause further damage or cause the clots to travel.”

Last week, the drummer took to social media to reveal that he had developed thrombophlebitis in his bilateral upper extremities, along with cellulitis. The condition causes blood clots in the veins of a person’s arms and legs.

In the statement, the band sounds optimistic that Barker will be better by early July, though they do not have any scheduled shows until late October.

“As it stands now, he will be prevented from playing until the beginning of July when everything will be re-evaluated.”

The letter goes on to assure fans that these cancelled shows will be rescheduled for a later date, though they do understand that some fans may not be able to make it to the newly announced shows.

“New dates will be posted on the band’s website shortly. If you are not able to attend the rescheduled dates, refunds will be available at point of purchase.”

Back in March, the trio announced they would become the first residency at the city’s newly renovated Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino Resort. According to a press statement at the time, Blink-182’s residency would be one of the resort’s first major entertainment collaborations as part of its $620 million property-wide overhaul.

The band’s next scheduled “Kings of the Weekend” show will take place on Oct. 26.

The group’s Las Vegas residency comes a couple of years after the band released their last studio album, 2016’s California. Since the album’s release, the band has been alternating between touring nonstop and taking breaks to do other things including recording new music.

blink-182 announce ‘Kings of the Weekend’ residency in Las Vegas

Blink-182 is about to take Las Vegas by the balls and give the Palms a hell of a residency. On Monday (March 19), the California-founded band announced that they will be getting the Las Vegas residency treatment beginning this May. The “Kings of the Weekend” show will reportedly be the first residency at the city’s newly renovated Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino Resort. According to a press statement, blink-182’s residency is one of the resort’s first major entertainment collaborations as part of its recently announced $620 million property-wide overhaul.

The 16-show run will begin in late-May with sporadic dates through November. The confirmed shows are as follows: May – 26-27; June – 8-9, 15-16, 23-24; October – 26-27; November – 2-3, 9-10, 16-17.

According to the band’s statement about the newly announced event, the shows will bring to life the group’s “nearly 25-year history of hit songs, inappropriate tales, and nonsensical antics.”

“When the Palms asked us to do a residency here in Vegas, we said ‘Absolutely!'” begins blink-182’s vocalist/bassist Mark Hoppus.

Jokingly he adds: “Now, we just have to cast our show girls, create our set list – a true throwback of Vegas classics with Sinatra, Liberace. Maybe we can even marry someone on stage…The possibilities in Vegas are endless.”

“Blink-182 is one of those bands that crosses over multiple genres of music, and also transcends many generations of music lovers,” Palms Casino Resort General Manager Jon Gray said in a press statement. “They’re a perfect fit for a true rock residency – our first at the Pearl.”

Tickets for the upcoming shows will go on sale beginning this Friday, March 23, at 10 a.m. PT. Ticket prices will begin at $59 (plus applicable fees). For more information, visit blink’s official website for the shows here.

The Las Vegas residency comes a couple of years after the band released their last studio album, 2016’s California. Since the album’s release, the group has been alternating between touring nonstop and taking breaks to do other things.

The Killers to celebrate ‘Sam’s Town’ ten-year anniversary

The Killers’ sophomore effort, Sam’s Town, is turning ten this year, and in honor of its momentous occasion, the group has revealed some big plans to celebrate. On Monday (Aug.1 ), the Las Vegas-based band announced that they will be reissuing Sam’s Town on vinyl this fall. The vinyl reissue will feature two tracks not on the original release; a demo of “Peace of Mind” and “Read My Mind (Pet Shop Boys Stars Are Blazing Mix).” The band will release a limit amount of copies (5,016 to be exact) which will include a coffee table-style booklet.

In addition to the reissue of the album, the band has also announced a two-day “Decennial Extravaganza” which will take place at Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Las Vegas on Friday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 1. The weekend will include performances by The Killers on Friday and Saturday night as well as a tour of iconic Killers-related locations in Las Vegas.

Tickets for The Killers’ fan club will go on sale beginning this Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. PST. General tickets will then go on sale beginning Friday, Aug. 5 at 10 a.m. PST. All profits from the event will go to support local Las Vegas charities for the homeless as well as addiction recovery.

Back in May, the four-piece announced that longtime bassist Mark Stoermer would no longer join the group on tour. Since all the celebration is set to take place in Las Vegas, there’s a huge possibility that the bassist will be present for both festive days.

Rock in Rio USA Add More Artists to Line-Up, Unveil “City of Rock” Streets
