*NSYNC Reunion at VMAs?

Could it be true? Could the ’90s officially be making a comeback in 2013?

The way that things are looking, 90s boy band are making a major comeback, perfect for us nostalgic people. First we had New Kids on the Block getting back together to go on tour.  Then Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees joined, going on tour with the first two. Recently, we had the Backstreet Boys announced that they would be on tour and releasing a new album in celebration of their 20th anniversary,

Now the rumor is spinning again, claiming that *NSYNC might be reuniting as soon as this weekend.

In the last couple of hours, the consensus is that *NSYNC might be making a reunion happen at MTV’s Video Music Awards this weekend. The award ceremony, or party more like it, celebrates musicians who are the hottest of the bunch during the voting period. Awards are given off based votes, so yes, MTV does occasionally play music.

In the past, there had been the same kind of rumors running around, but they all ended up being squashed because, you know, Justin Timberlake is one of the most busy guys in Hollywood. The New York Post’s Page Six reported that they five guys will be gathering together for a one-off performance, though no confirmations nor denials have been made.

Timberlake will be appearing at the event to receive the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award as well as to perform. Sources report that former bandmates, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Krikpatrick will be joining him on stage.

This year’s line up already features Lady Gaga opening the show, Katy Perry probably performing her new single, “Roar,” Robin Thicke giving us some of his sexy vocals on “Blurred Lines” and many other.

So if *NSYNC are in fact reuniting for a one-off performance, what song do you want them to do? We’re partial to “It’s Gonna Be Me.”

Justin Timberlake Releases New Video

About a month back, Justin Timberlake began to tease fans about the second installment to already hit album, The 20/20 Experience. Armed with a black and white commercial and a sign revealing the date that his first single would drop (remember, the date was pixelated out?) the singer did what he intended; got fans excited for the new single.

Short after that, the song, “Take Back the Night” hit the internet as well as the radio waves and became an instant hit, like anyone doubted that. Today, the singer released the official music video for the first single off the follow-up to The 20/20 Experience. Instead of doing it the old-fashioned way of “here it is,” Timberlake decided to take an interactive road with this release.

Fans would be able to visit a custom site that will allow them to take a tour of all the location in New York City hat were used during the filming of the video which can be seen below.

According to a press release given by directors  Jeff Nicholas, Jonathan Craen and Darren Craig, the video”harkens back to the days when nightlife ruled the city and beckons everyone within earshot that the night holds endless possibilities.”

Artists Protesting Florida? Not So Fast

Justin Timberlake/Jay-Z

After the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin ruling two weeks back, many artist have come out of the woodwork to protest the state of Florida over a reason that no one truly knows. Whether it’s the ruling (just for those that are not familiar, Zimmerman was found not guilty) or the actual “Stand Your Ground” law, artist were rumored to be protesting the state (you read right, the state, not just that particular city).

Word got around yesterday through the Huffington Post that artists such as Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, The Rolling Stones and many more would be staying clear from Florida due to the verdict outcome. The Monday after the verdict, Stevie Wonder had come out saying that he would not be entering the state of Florida for anything as a protest. Today, it turns out, many of the representatives are coming to the defense of their performers saying that their clients had never heard of or been contacted about the list.

American Urban Radio Network’s White House correspondent April Ryan first reported the list, claiming that she had gotten the information from credible  “sources close to the Stevie Wonder camp.” The Huffington Post had said that they were at the time trying to contact the artists’ representatives even though they had posted the list. At the time, the only representative that had gotten back to them was Rihanna’s who revealed that she was not involved. MotherJones got word that The Rolling Stones had not even heard about the campaign.

When doubt started to reach an all time high, Ryan released a statement on her website where she explains that she got a ext in the middle of the night from someone who were “in support of Stevie.” Her statement could be seen below:

I obtained from multiple sources early Monday a list of artists and entertainers who my sources told me had committed to a boycott of Florida following the George Zimmerman acquittal. Since publishing that list I have heard from several representatives of the artists named who say, on behalf of their clients, they are uncomfortable being identified on that list and are seeking additional information.

Additional representatives have come out to debunk that their clients, who were on the list, were even aware that their names had been put on the list of protesters, which begs the question, if Ryan didn’t put this list together then who did?

Supposedly protests not only those mentioned above, but also

Justin Timberlake Reveals “20/20 Experience” Part 2 Release Date

Justin Timberlake/Jay-Z

Just a short time after Justin Timberlake’s newest album dropped, The Roots’ Questlove revealed that Timberlake would be releasing a part two of the hit album sometime in November on a forum. The part two of the album was confirmed to happen by the singer himself a few days later, making fans eager for it.

Originally, Questlove hinted that the album will be released in November, but just yesterday, Timberlake posted a picture of him in the studio with a handwritten caption which read, “The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2) Sept. 30th.”

According to producer, Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon, who worked on the first part, Timberlake will mix unreleased material from the first “20/20” album with brand new studio sessions.

“Before we came to the 10 [songs on “The 20/20 Experience”] that he wanted and the two bonus tracks, we had over 30, 40 tracks,” Harmon told Billboard last month. “So I think he’s going to go in, and we’re going to take some of the stuff that we’ve already done, and of course create more music at the same time.”

The 20/20 Experience sold an estimated 968,000 copies in its first week landing it at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Since then, the album has managed to stay in one of the top three positions on the chart.

Can you hear the squeal of fans from all over the world, because we can.
