Pharrell and Gwen Stefani Make Their ‘Voice’ Debut

The Voice have been changing judges every season lately with only Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and country singer Blake Shelton holding onto their bright red spinning chairs.

In the upcoming seventh season of the hit NBC singing competition, it was already announced that mega-producer and “Happy” singer Pharrell Williams will be taking the seat that was once occupied by former judge, Cee Lo Green (or Usher).

Last week, talk began that No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani would be taking the place of Christina Aguilera for the upcoming season since she would, reportedly, be eight months pregnant by the time the show begins to air. After a few days of hushed negotiations, Stefani was confirmed to be rounding out the judges’ panel when she posted a picture of her hand on Instagram with a microphone and the peace sign/ “V” symbol.

During last night’s episode of the show, the people behind the show decided that there was no time like the present to start introducing the rookie judges to the large audience watching from both the taping location and from the comfort of their homes.

Stefani made her entrance by performing “Hollaback Girl” which was produced by who else, Pharrell, rocking his new hat. Pharrell then went on to perform his latest single, “Come Get it Bae” which he collaborate with Miley Cyrus on, hence the ridiculous pattern outfits the dancers were sporting.

New ‘X-Factor’ Judges Revealed

In what might come as no surprise to anyone who has been keeping up with the revolving door of judges on FOX, it looks like The X-Factor has finally confirmed that two new judges will be making their debut next season.

Taking the place of Britney Spears and mega-producer LA Reid will be Kelly Rowland and Mexican singer Paulina Rubio. Rowland is most known for being one-third of Destiny’s Child alongside Sasha Fierce herself, Beyonce while Rubio is mostly known for her volatile attitude.

This isn’t the first time that the show has gone through a renovation in the judges’ department. Before Spears and Reid joined the panel with Simon Cowell and pop star, Demi Lovato, Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger had the job, but due to lackluster rating, they were given the boot.

“It’s taken more than a decade but I’m delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!). Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different,” Simon Cowell said in a statement.

This isn’t the first time that Rowland will be taking a seat as a judge for The X-Factor; she made an appearance on The X-Factor UK back in 2011.

Heidi Klum Joins ‘America’s Got Talent’

Heidi Klum

Just last week, the people behind the hit NBC reality TV show, America’s Got Talent announced that Spice Girl, Mel B would be filling for Sharon Osbourne who quit after the last season. At the time, they were saying that they were in search of another judge for the upcoming season.

It has been confirmed that Project Runway judge and super hot model, Heidi Klum has been added to the panel of judges for the new season. NBC says that the new judge was a last minute addition and is currently in a last minute negotiation with the network. They also follow it up by saying that the model literally just got on a plane ride to finish the negotiations for her new role and to also begin the first round of auditions which will be taking place in New Orleans.

The new season of America’s Got Talent starts filming tomorrow with Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and their brand new judges.

Mel B to Replace Sharon Osbourne

Mel B

Back in August, Sharon Osbourne got into a tiff with the people at NBC when she found out that the network had fired her son, Jack, from another one of their reality series, Star Earn Stripes when they found out that he had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She later revealed that she would be leaving America’s Got Talent and didn’t really care what the outcome would be.

This left Howard Stern and Howie Mandel down a judge, but now it looks like a Spice Girl will be filling in for the Osbourne matriarch. Sources are confirming that Scary Spice herself, Mel B (real name Melanie Brown) will be taking the judge’s chair for the series’ upcoming new season. Mel B. has a few notches on her resume aside from her time as a Spice Girl; she appeared on Dancing with the Star in season five and ended in second place. She also has some experience as a judge, appearing as a guest judge on The X Factor in the UK.
