Harry Styles schedules massive ‘Love on Tour’ outing for 2020

Harry Styles is taking the love (and his super wide-legged pants collection) on the road next year.

On Wednesday (Nov. 13), the British singer announced plans to embark on a massive tour throughout 2020. Dubbed “Love on Tour,” the outing will find the musician performing across several continents throughout the spring, summer, and fall months.

The European leg of the tour begins on April 15 at the Arena Birmingham in Birmingham and concludes two months later on June 3 at the Megasport in Russia. The North American leg will kick off a few weeks later on June 26 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia and wraps up on Oct. 3 at the Foro Sol on Mexico City.

King Princess will play the role of supporting act during the European leg of the tour while Jenny Lewis will join Styles for the United States and Canadian stops, and Koffee will open the show during the three Mexican gigs.

Since the vast majority of his last solo tour sold out, it’s only natural that this tour will do the same. Preregistration for the U.S. and Canadian stops of “Love on Tour” are now available through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program. Details on how to enroll in the verified fan program can be found on Styles’ website.

General ticket sales begin next Friday, Nov. 22.

The newly announced 2020 tour dates will be in support of Styles’ forthcoming sophomore album. Titled Fine Line, the new studio effort is due out Dec. 13. Last month, Styles released the lead single from the upcoming LP, “Lights Up.”

To coincide with the album’s release, the singer recently announced a special release show at the Forum on the same day the record is due out.

This Saturday, Styles will take over “Saturday Night Live” as both its host and musical guest.

ACL_2019_header

The Cure, Guns N’ Roses, and Cardi B are just some of the acts making their way to Austin in the fall for the 18th annual Austin City Limits. On Tuesday (April 30), festival organizers unveiled the massive and diverse lineup for the 2019 edition of the event.

Joining the already stacked lineup are Mumford and Sons, Tame Impala, Childish Gambino, Robyn, Thom Yorke performing Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, Kacey Musgraves, Jenny Lewis, Lizzo, Lil Uzi Vert, Billie Eilish, 21 Savage, Rosalía, the Raconteurs, LANY, and many more.

As noted by the official poster for the event, Cardi B will only perform during the first weekend of the gig while Robyn will take over her slot during the second weekend. It’s also noted that the Kooks will only play during the first weekend of the show while Third Eye Blind will take over during weekend two.

This year marks the debut for many headliners including Guns N’ Roses (it’s also their first show in Austin in 25 years), Cardi B, Eilish, and Robyn. This also marks Childish Gambino’s makeup appearance at the weekend-long festival after having to cancel last year due to a foot injury he sustained during the Dallas stop of his “This is America” tour.

The 18th annual Austin City Limits will take over Zilker Park during the weekends of Oct. 4-6 and Oct. 11-13.

Tickets for the three-day event are currently available for purchase on their website. There are four different ticket options to pick from for weekend passes as well as single-day passes. ACL is offering fans several packages including general admission, general admission plus, VIP, and platinum. For more information about the lineup, tickets, or general inquiries, head on over to Austin City Limits’ website.

Imagine Dragons, Mumford and Son, Neil Young lead 2019 BottleRock lineup

Imagine Dragons, Mumford and Sons, and Neil Young are just some of the musicians who will make their way to California in the spring for the 2019 incarnation of the BottleRock Napa Valley Music Festival. On Monday (Jan. 7), music festival organizers unveiled their musically diverse lineup for this year’s festivities due to take place in late-May.

Joining the aforementioned acts on the bill this year will be OneRepublic, Flogging Molly, Jenny Lewis, AJR, Lovelytheband, Pharrell Williams, Logic, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweat, Juanes, Against Me!, and two of the “greatest living guitarists” Gary Clark Jr. and Carlos Santana.

“We definitely put the emphasis on the rock in BottleRock, with Santana and Gary Clark Jr. We’re also strong on the Latino influence with Santana and Juanes. And Pharrell Williams has produced some of the most well-known songs today,” Dave Graham of BottleRock Presents said in a statement.

“Imagine Dragons can cater to 12-year-olds, soccer moms and 25- to 30-year-olds, and their music appeals to my age and up. I’m 46. Since they played BottleRock the first time in 2015, they’ve taken off and exploded. In 2017, they came out with ‘Believer,’ ‘Thunder,’ ‘Whatever It Takes’ and ‘Natural.’ We’re glad to have them back,” adds Graham.

In total over 80 acts will take over one of six stages during the three-day event.

In addition to the rocking roster, the event will also include access to wine, food, and craft beers all from the Napa Valley area as well as a culinary stage, VIP experiences, spa and salon options, and a silent disco.

Three-day passes for the upcoming festival go on sale beginning this Tuesday. Jan. 8, at 10 a.m. PT. Single-day passes will go on sale this Thursday, Jan. 10. For more information about the music festival, tickets, or the lineup, head on over to BottleRock’s website here.

BottleRock will take place in Napa Valley during the weekend of May 24 – 26. Doors open each day at 11:30 a.m. while the last act ends at 10 p.m. each night.
