Gerard Way Welcomes Special Guest at Japanese Gig

We’ve all witnessed how the guys of My Chemical Romance were able to put the now defunct band in the past and create their own solo careers with pretty good success.

During his gig last night in Tokyo, Japan, former MCR frontman Gerard Way was joined on stage by a former band mate/special guest; his younger brother Mikey.

Mikey, whose current project Electric Century released a new song earlier this year and are in the studio recording their debut album, returned once more to the bass to play on his older brother’s new-ish song, “Don’t Try.”

Check out the footage (which is a little blurry and shaky, but hey it’s something) and many social media updates, from that show below. Turns out, even James Dewees, Reggie and the Full Effects head honcho and friend of the brothers, was stoked to see the two united on stage again.

Nine Inch Nails Debut Two New Songs

If you couldn’t make it to last night’s Nine Inch Nails set at┬áJapan’s Fuji Rock Fest, then you missed out on the band performing two new songs from their upcoming album, Hesitation Marks. Like most of the people in the world who were not able to make it to Japan for their annual festival, it means that you missed out on the newly reformed band giving those in attendance the first taste at other tracks besides their first single, “Came Back Haunted.”

The first song is titled “Find My Way” which is a brooding type song, while the second song titled “Copy of A” is the complete opposite of the first one with its heavy beat and bass.

Check out both videos below:

While Hesitation Marks isn’t due to hit stores until September 3, the band will be making an appearance at this year’s Lollapalooza which can only mean that there might be a few new songs making its way on their set list. Or, at least we can hope they will.
