The Vatican Gets “Happy”

“Happy” has been burning up the charts, and if you are one of the few people who find the Pharrell song annoying then you are not human. Today, a new video for the song has made its way onto the internet, but it does not have random singer attempting to cover the Despicable Me 2 song, rather you see nuns, priest and Catholics all dancing to the tune.

Very much like the videos like it that have been posted before, the tune is in the background while these religious people in Rome dance. The video is titled “Happy for 2PapiSanti” in honor of Pope Francis declaring Juan Pablo II and Juan XXIII saints on April 27. The Vatican has also revealed they will stream the coronation ceremony which will take place at St. Peter’s Square.

The #2PapiSanti” and “#2PopeSaints” hashtags are part of the church;s effort to help promote this event through social media.

Check out the video below and try not to sing and dance along with the song. Spoiler, it’s really hard.

“The Voice of Italy’s” Break Out Star

SisterChristinaScuccia

We might be a few days late with this one, but it’s something that shows that you can’t judge a book by its cover.

Very similar to the story of Susan Boyle, a singing nun from Italy, Sister Christina Scuccia, has become the newest addition to the viral video family. After performing a killer rendition of Alicia Keys’ “No One” during the blind auditions of the show, everyone began to take notice.

In a somewhat rare chance, all four judges turned their chairs around to see who was connected to the voice that just belted out a difficult track. The look on all four judges’ faces should be enough to tell describe what everyone though upon seeing the singing nun take the stage before opening her mouth.

Her jaw dropping performance had many talking including NBC’s “Today” as well as People and Britain’s “The Guardian” and reportedly this isn’t the first reality television show she auditioned for. Previously she had auditioned for the X-Factor in Italy among other television programs.

The 25-year-old reportedly took her vows in 2010 after having a rebellious adolescence and has been training to be a singer. For those curious as to which team she chose, she went for the team led by J-Ax, an Italian rapper.
