After some lineup changes over the last couple of years, it looks like Asking Alexandria is ready to go back to their original lineup and release some new music. On Friday (Sept. 22), the United Kingdom-founded band unveiled their brand new song “Into the Fire” which is not only the first single from their upcoming album, but also marks the return of longtime vocalist Danny Worsnop.
The four-minute clip for the new tune looks like a nod to Frank Miller’s graphic novel “Sin City” with its black-and-white shots, graphic novel-ish, settings, and the use of red for important things. Check out the music video for “Into the Fire” above.
“Into the Fire” is the first single off Asking Alexandria’s yet-to-be-titled fifth studio album. According to the band, the new record is set to be released on Dec. 15 with pre-orders and additional details to be announced soon. The new album is the follow-up to 2016’s The Black. The record will also mark Worsnop’s official return to the lineup after exiting the band in early 2015.
At the beginning of 2015, Worsnop broke the hearts of fans when he announced he was leaving the band to focus on his new band, We Are Harlot. Shortly after his departure, the remaining members of Asking Alexandria enlisted Make Me Famous’ Denis Stoff to take over vocal duties. Sadly, the relationship between Stoff and remaining members of Asking Alexandria hit the skids when the singer reportedly stopped speaking to the band and would not respond to founding member Ben Bruce’s modes of communication.
After officially announcing Stoff’s “exit” from the band, the group welcomed back Worsnop in the fall of 2016.
