Listen: Senses Fail streams ‘In Your Absence’

A month after announcing plans to release a brand new EP, Senses Fail has unveiled yet another track from the impending record. On Thursday (Feb. 16), the New Jersey-founded band released the title track from their upcoming EP, In Your Absence. The new song can currently be streamed above.

“In Your Absence,” the song, will join lead single “Jets to Peru” on the upcoming EP. In Your Absence is set to be released on March 3 through Pure Noise Records. Pre-orders for the record are currently available on Senses Fail’s website here.

while discussing the new record, frontman Buddy Nielsen revealed that the band decided to go in a different direction with this record since their previous release was heavy. “This is our first stab at an acoustic record, coming off our last record being so heavy we thought it might be fun to try the opposite,” the singer said in an interview. “I have to say that it was very fun to write these songs and I think they came out great. They are loosely about my wife’s battle with Multiple Sclerosis and the thought of losing her prematurely.”

In support of the new record, and the group’s 15th anniversary together, they announced last year plans to hit the road to celebrate the momentous occasion. In addition to playing their sophomore album, Still Searching, in full, the group also promised to include songs from their lengthy discography. Counterparts, Movements, and Like Pacific will join Senses Fail throughout the excursion. The complete list of tour dates can be found below.
