Watch Senses Fail train to win Demi Lovato’s love in ‘Elevator to the Gallows’

With a handful of hours left before beginning their first tour of the new year, Senses Fail have given fans a brand new music video to celebrate. On Friday (Jan. 4), the New Jersey-founded band released the music video for their latest single, “Elevator to the Gallows.” the newly released clip finds the guys getting a crash course on how to win pop star Demi Lovato’s affection.

The four-minute clip begins with the guys walking through an area of desolate warehouses with barbwire and gates. Upon knocking on the gate of one of the warehouses, they are instantly welcomed by drag performer and former “RuPaul’s Drag Race” contestant Tammie Brown.

As the camera pans to a whiteboard, the band is instantly thrown into a course titled “How to Win Demi Lovato’s Love.” Of course  insanity ensues almost as quickly as they go through training which includes learning how to dance, exercising, getting some serious fashion sense, and learning what her favorite snack is (pickles? really?). It’s also hard to ignore how frontman Buddy Nielsen is rocking a Demi Lovato tee throughout most of the clip.

“We are all big fans of Demi. We’ve tried to [at] her on Twitter but to no avail! So we took the logical next step and made a video devoted to winning her attention,” the band say in statement.

“Having personally struggled with addiction, I know all too well what Demi has been through. We want her to know Senses Fail loves her and wishes her the very best! Your best friends who you don’t know yet, Senses Fail.”

Funnily enough, several hours after the video made its debut, Lovato tweeted the band: “Also- I love you Senses Fail. Your video is everything.”

“Elevator to the Gallows” is featured on Senses Fail’s recently released record, If There Is Light, It Will Find You. The album, the group’s seventh studio album, was released in February of 2018.

In support of the album, the band announced late last year plans to embark on a co-headlining tour with the Amity Affliction. The “Misery Will Find You” tour will begin tonight (Jan. 4) at the House of Blues in Anaheim and conclude a month or so later on Feb. 9 at the Regent in Los Angeles.

Following some mishaps with a previously announced supporting act, Silent Planet and Belmont will hit the road with the two bands throughout the excursion. The complete list of tour dates can be seen here.

Senses Fail drop video for ‘Gold Jacket, Green Jacket’

Senses Fail have returned with another new track from their upcoming new album, If There Is A Light, It Will Find You. On Thursday (Jan. 11), the New Jersey-founded band released the music video for their latest single “Gold Jacket, Green Jacket.” The over-three-minute clip finds frontman Buddy Nielsen not exactly having a very good day with his encounters with people.

First we see him involved in a car crash, but not really caring as he sits there drinking his coffee. Then, as he’s running away, he makes a set of construction workers drop something they were carrying while a poor, unfortunate pizza delivery man gets caught in the mess. As if that isn’t enough, Nielsen has an encounter with a group of close-minded protesters who are in process of protesting the LGBTQ community. While a slew of bad things seem to be happening, at the end everyone involved get sprayed with glitter and their angry tendencies disappear as they head to a house party / jam session with the rest of Senses Fail.

“The inspiration for this video is Falling Down meets the clown sing-along part in Billy Madison,” explains Nielsen. “The idea was to basically have people coming at me for various reasons but I am able to stave them all off and have them join in on the fun with a glitter bomb. Nothing makes a bad time more fun than a little glitter. Overall I just wanted to have a video that was fun and left you feeling good about the world and life.”

“Gold Jacket, Green Jacket” will join “Double Cross” on Senses Fail’s upcoming seventh studio album. If There Is A Light, It Will Find You will be released on Feb. 16 through Pure Noise Records. Pre-orders for the album are currently available on the band’s website here.
