Broadside drops video for ‘Hidden Colors’

Broadside has returned with a brand new music for another new track off their impending new album. On Thursday (May 11), the Virginia-based band took to Twitter to promise fans that once their post reached a total of 616 re-tweets they would release their music video for “Hidden Colors.” At first, the number of re-tweets requested may have seemed strange, but it turns out that 616 is the date their new album is set to hit store.

Two hours after the initial post, the post reached the requested re-tweets with the band keeping their promise by releasing the music video for “Hidden Colors.”

The over-three-minute clip primarily features the band performing inside of what looks like a warehouse with graffiti all over the walls. Almost a minute into the clip, the graffiti changes from normal colors to neon paint thanks to the help of what we can assume is a black light. Let’s just say the guys no longer look like they’re performing inside a depleted warehouse that’s about to crash all around them, but rather, a cool night club.

When asked about the inspiration about the song, vocalist Oliver Baxxter revealed what it’s about. “We wanted to represent the women in our life with the utmost respect and how grateful we are for them.”

He adds: “We live in a very romantic time, but not enough people are focusing on where the romance actually comes from, the pure undying desire for love. ‘Hidden Colors’ is about young lovers in the night. It’s about telling that person just what you appreciate about them. You can NEVER tell someone enough how much they actually mean to you.”

“Hidden Colors” will join lead single “Puzzle Pieces” on Broadside’s sophomore album, Paradise. Paradise is set to be released on June 16 through Victory Records. Pre-orders for the new record are currently available here. Those who pre-order Paradise will be given an instant download of “Puzzle Pieces.”
