Ellie Goulding Releases New Video

ellie

Ellie Goulding is already starting off the new year in a good way by releasing the music video for her song, “Goodness Gracious.”

The song, which was actually released sometime last Summer, is part of the re-release of her hit album, Halcyon Days.

The video features, light and colorful visuals reminiscent of the 80s make you wish that it was Summertime all over again. The images of crashing waves, palm trees and the petite blonde singer with her friends make you yearn for the days of hanging out with your friends with sparklers and bon fires instead of horribly cold weather and tons of layers especially if you are unfortunately station in one of the northern states.

For now, you can check out the video and begin the countdown for warmer weather.

Ellie Goulding has pretty much been a staple on the pop charts since her hit song “Lights” first made its debut on the radio. Now, the British songstress has released a new song which features a little help from fun. frontman, Nate Ruess.

Ruess, who has gotten some pop cred under his belt for several hit radio songs and even some assistance in other songs like P!nk’s “Just Give Me a Reason” and Ke$ha’s “Die Young” has contributed to Goulding’s new song, but don’t expect for him to have his vocals on the track; the music man decided to take a behind the scenes approach for the song.

The name of the track is “Goodness Gracious” and will be featured on the Goulding’s re-release of her hit album, Halcyon. The re-issue titled, Halcyon Days will feature several spare songs that she had in hiding, including a cover of  Alt-J’s “Tesselate,” the electronic, “Burn as well as the ballad, “Hearts without Chains.”

For now, take a listen to the track and pick up Halcyon Days when it hits store on August 27.
