Lizzo, Billie Eilish, and Gwen Stefani to perform at the 2020 Grammy Awards

With just a few weeks lefts before the 62nd annual Grammy Awards invades Los Angeles, the first round of performers has been announced.

On Wednesday (Jan. 8), the Recording Academy revealed that Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, and Aerosmith will take the stage during this year’s event set to take place at the end of January.

Lizzo and Eilish will not only make their performance debut during the live telecast but are also nominated for a slew of awards.

The “Truth Hurts” crooner is nominated for a total of eight awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance. Not too far behind is Eilish, who received a total of six nominations, including Best New Artist, Album of the Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album.

While Stefani and Shelton have been to the Grammys (and won some) on their own, the duo will reportedly make their debut as a couple on stage with a duet. We’re going to assume they’re going to perform their collaborative track, “Nobody But You.”

Because it wouldn’t be an award show without bringing in some gratuitous iconic musicians, the Recording Academy announced that Aerosmith will take the stage to perform a medley of their hits. This gig marks the group’s return to the Grammys stage, 29 years after their debut at the 33rd Grammy Awards in 1991.

In addition to the performance, the four-time Grammy winners will be honored as the 2020 MusiCares Person (shouldn’t it be persons?) of the Year.

The MusiCares Person of the Year honor recognizes the group for their philanthropic efforts over the past five decades as well as their influence in the music world.

The 2020 Grammy Awards will broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 26. The show begins at 8 p.m.ET/ 5 p.m. PT and airs on CBS.

Alicia Keys will once again take over hosting duties during this year’s event.

Watch Gwen Stefani frolic in rundown apartment for ‘Misery’

image

Following her duet with boyfriend Blake Shelton on the Billboard Music Awards a couple of weeks back, Gwen Stefani is back to release the music video for her latest single. On Tuesday (May 31), the No Doubt frontwoman released the official music video for “Misery,” a three-and-a-half-minute tune. The video finds Stefani rocking some cool outfits which we can only describe as something that the pop star would wear.

The “high fashion” wardrobe is in direct contrast of the location which looks like it takes place in an empty and rundown apartment building. As Stefani moves from location to location inside of the building (rooms, boiler room, parking area), there seems to be a group of three guys following her dancing along as she sings. Check out the complete video for “Misery” below.

“Misery” is the third single off of Stefani’s recently released album, This is What the Truth Feels Like. In support of the new album which was released back in March, Stefani will be hitting the road for the “This is What the Truth Feels Like” tour. The trek will kick off on July 12 at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA and will wrap up on Oct. 15 at Los Angeles’ the Forum. Stefani previously announced that frequent collaborator and friend Eve, will be joining her for the entire tour. The complete list of upcoming stops can be seen here.

Gwen Stefani announces ‘This is What the Truth Feels Like’ tour

Armed with a brand new record, Gwen Stefani is ready to hit the open road. On Monday (April 18), the pop star announced that she will be getting up from behind the judges’ panel on The Voice to hit the road this summer. The upcoming summer tour has been named the “This is What the Truth Feels Like” tour in honor of her recently released record.

The tour will kick off on July 12 at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA and will find Stefani performing at a slew of North American venues across the country. The trek will then wrap up on Oct. 15 at the Forum in Stefani’s stomping ground of Los Angeles. Though the schedule seems to take place primarily in the summer months, there seems to be a pretty massive gap between the Vancouver, BC date (Aug. 25 at the Rogers Arena) and the Mountain View, CA date (Oct. 8 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre). No word yet on whether she will take that time off to be with her family or if more tour dates will be announced for that void.

One thing that we do know for a fact is that frequent collaborator and rapper, Eve, will hit the road alongside the pop star for the trek. Tickets for the shows will go on sale beginning this week. Citi Card members will be given the chance to purchase tickets ahead of anyone else beginning Tuesday, April 19. General tickets sales for the public will then go on sale beginning this Friday, April 22. For more information about the upcoming tour, head on over to Stefani’s website here. Gwen Stefani debuts new song from upcoming album

With a week left until the release of her much-anticipated, third studio album, Gwen Stefani has returned with another new track from it. On Thursday (March 10), the No Doubt frontwoman teased fans about a brand new song titled “Misery.” Less than an hour after the teasing, the song was unleashed to the public. While the name of the song may seem like it may be a somber, depressing track, it’s the opposite.

Very muck like her previous single, “Make Me Like You,” it’s upbeat and not at all what you expect it to be, though it does sound like a Stefani song. Listen to “Misery” below.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the singer admitted to what many gossip publications have speculated since her new record announcement; that the album’s songs are about her new relationship with fellow The Voice judge Blake Shelton. “The record is happening in real-time,” explains Stefani. “I’ve never had a record that’s been about happiness, so that feels really good and different. And I’ve never had records come out while it’s going on.”

“Misery,” “Make Me Like You,” and “Used to Love You” are three of the 12 new tracks to be featured on This is What the Truth Feels Like. The new album is set to be released next Friday, March 18. This is What the Truth Feels Like is Stefani’s long-awaited follow-up to 2006’s The Sweet Escape.

Gwen Stefani Debuts New Single

A couple of days after formally announcing the release of her new album, Gwen Stefani has now given her loyal fans the chance to listen to the second single off the record. On Friday (Feb. 12), the No Doubt frontwoman released the audio of her new single, “Make Me Like You.” When Stefani made the announcement that her third solo album would be getting a spring release, it was also revealed that a new single would be heading our way some time this month. Listen to the poppy track below.

The music video for the song will be filmed live during the 2016 Grammy Awards which are scheduled to take place on Monday, Feb. 15. The video will be acted out, filmed, and broadcast during the first four-minute commercial break of the show on CBS.

“Make Me Like You” is the second single off of Stefani’s upcoming album, This is What the Truth Feels Like. The first single was the straight-ballad, “Used to Love You” which saw an officially release late last year. This is What the Truth Feels Like is the much-anticipated follow-up to 2006’s The Sweet EscapeThis is What the Truth Feels Like is set to be released on March 18.

Gwen Stefani Confirms Release of New Album

Gwen Stefani has been a busy person the last couple of years, which explains why the No Doubt frontwoman’s highly anticipated third album has yet to be released. Taking to Twitter, Stefani revealed that the new album will be titled This is What the Truth Feels Like. In addition to the title, she also unveiled the track list and confirmed that the record will be released on March 18.

Previously released track, “Used to Love You,” will be the record’s lead single. The ballad, which many speculated had to do with her divorce from Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, made its official debut back in October 2015 when the singer performed at MasterCard’s Priceless Surprises series. The record’s next single will reportedly be “Make Me Like U,” and is set to premiere later this month. The track list for the record can be seen below as well as Stefani’s post on Twitter.

In 2012, No Doubt reunited to release their sixth studio album, Push and Shove while Stefani was added to the judges’ panel on NBC’s hit reality television show, The Voice, in 2014. Last year, she contributed two songs to two different film soundtracks; “Shine” for Paddington and “Kings Never Die” for Southpaw.

American Music Awards 2015 Update Performers List

The American Music Awards are just a couple of weeks away from broadcasting live from Los Angeles, and now the people behind the annual awards show have unveiled the rest of the performers. Previously, it was announced that acts like 5 Seconds of Summer, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, and Carrie Underwood would hit the stage during the yearly music awards show. On Wednesday (Nov. 11), the rest of the performance lineup was unveiled.

Coldplay, Gwen Stefani, and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have now been added to the already full list. Coldplay will reportedly perform their new single, “Adventure of a Lifetime” for the first time on live United States television. Last Friday (Nov. 6), the group debuted the song live on TFI Friday, a United Kingdom-based television program.

Also rounding out the heavy list is Gwen Stefani, who will reportedly perform her own new single, “Used to Love You” and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, who will debut their own brand new song during the show. As of now, there has been no indication on what the name of the new song is.

The American Music Awards is schedule to broadcast live from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on Nov. 22. For those watching from home, the show will be broadcast on ABC. Jennifer Lopez will play double duty for the evening, both hosting and performing on the show.

Gwen Stefani Debuts “Used to Love You” Live

image

It’s been a year since Gwen Stefani has released any new solo music, but this weekend, the singer changed that. While appearing in New York on Saturday (Oct. 17) for MasterCard’s Priceless Surprises series, the singer announced that she had a new song prepared; a track titled “Used to Love You.” During the show, Stefani hinted that the new song will be her upcoming new single; the follow-up to 2014’s “Spark the Fire.”

“I just want to share a song that I wrote recently. This song is really special. I think this is gonna be the new single,” Stefani told the audience. The ballad is believed to be about her split with soon-to-ex-husband, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. Taking to Twitter, she mirrored her speech from the show, teasing that “Used to Love You” will in fact become her new single.

Listen to the live debut of “Used to Love You” below.

Back in 2014, it was rumored Stefani would be releasing her third studio album in 2015. As the year is beginning to wrap up, nothing has been mentioned about that record that was reportedly produced by frequent collaborator and fellow The Voice judge, Pharrell Williams. Singles “Baby Don’t Lie” and “Spark the Fire” did premiere last year, but that was all.

But while there has been no new solo (or even No Doubt) music, it doesn’t mean that Stefani hasn’t been keeping busy. The No Doubt frontwoman is currently on the judges’ panel for this season of The Voice and has had a few songs on movie soundtracks. In January, Stefani and Williams worked on a track titled “Shine” for the Paddington film and in July, she joined forces with Eminem for a track titled “Kings Never Die” for the Southpaw soundtrack.

Stefani’s last album was 2006’s The Sweet Escape while No Doubt released their sixth studio album, Push and Shove, back in 2012.

“Baby Don’t Lie,” Gwen Stefani Has a New Song Out

image

It feels like ages since Gwen Stefani has released any new music, but the No Doubt frontwoman has returned with a new track.

After months of hinting at new music and that mega-producer and fellow The Voice judge Pharrell Williams would be producing her new record, the first single has been unleashed.

The song, which is titled “Baby Don’t Lie” is catchy, much like her previous albums without being too “juvenile.”

Instead of being a full-blown, overproduced, dance floor tune, the track seems to take those elements mix it together with some maturity and there you have it. With that being said, it feels like the opposite of what “Hollaback Girl” was, but then again, that was eight long years ago.

Check out the catchy song below.

“Baby Don’t Lie” which was co-written by OneRepublic maverick Ryan Tedder, will of course appear on Stefani’s third solo album which is expect to be released before the end of 2014.

As of now, no official title has been given for the upcoming record, though we assume with a release time frame of 2014, we’ll be getting the album title any day now.

Maroon 5’s “Heart is Open” with Gwen Stefani

image

Gwen Stefani hasn’t even made her official debut as one of the new judges on this season of The Voice, but she might have a little more experience than the other judges since you know she’s had a killer career as a frontwoman and a solo artists (among other things).

Today, a new song featuring her and fellow judge Adam Levine and his band, Maroon 5, has surfaced.

The piano-driven song is titled “My Heart is Open” and will be featured on Maroon 5’s upcoming album V. The song is already shaping up to be an instant hit not only because of Stefani and Levine, but because it was penned by super-songwriter Sia.

Whatever our favorite bleach-blonde songwriter touches often turns to gold.
Check out the audio of the track below.

It’s been months since Stefani was confirmed to be taking over the red spinning chair which only happened after days of the internet claiming it would happen. The No Doubt frontwoman finally confirmed the rumors through Instagram with a photo of her hand holding a microphone and doing the “V” logo. Like the internet had claimed, Stefani would be taking over for Christina Aguilera, who would not be able to judge this season due to her second pregnancy.

This season marks the debut of not only Stefani, but Pharrell Williams who will be filling in the slot that normally would have been taken by Cee Lo Green and his car Purrfect. The larger than life performer, and his feline, had announced he would be leaving the show, for good, for something else. Returning once again to the show as judges this season are the bro-mancers, Levine and country singer Blake Shelton.

The Voice’s new season is slated to return sometime this upcoming Fall season. No specific return date has been given.
