Before Penguin, before Catwoman, before Riddler, before Poison Ivy, before Batman, there was Gotham…

FOX has just released the first trailer to probably one of the most anticipated shows of the Fall season, the Batman prequel, Gotham.

Deciding to use the reboot of 24, 24: Live Another Day as the launching board, the network premiered the first trailer for the series though at the time, it still does not have a premiere date, though it does say “This Fall.”

The series is based on characters from the DC Comic universe including Ben McKenzie as the commissioner-to-be James Gordon as well as David Mazouz as a young Bruce Wayne, Robin Lord Taylor as the Penguin, Cory Michael Smith as the Riddler, and Camren Bicondova as Catwoman.

The series will be full of origin stories especially for Gordon and several of villains that have become Batman’s biggest foes. Donal Logue are also set to star in the series Jada Pinkett Smith; Logue as Gordon’s partner, Detective Harvey Bullock and Smith as villain Fish Mooney.

Check out the two-minute trailer below and tell us how you feel about the prequel.
