Foster the People Release Another New Song

foster-the-people

Happy Friday from the guys in Foster the People because the band have released another song from their upcoming album, Supermodel.

The track, “Supermodel II (Fire Escape)” begins with frontman Mark Foster talking about Los Angeles and what exactly inspired the song. The track is acoustic and a lot softer than dancey lead single “Coming of Age” or the dreamy “Pseudologia Fantastica.”

In an interview with Time, Foster said that he could not write the same album twice following a question which asked if he felt more pressure after the band’s breakout hit,”Pumped Up Kicks.”

Supermodel will be released on March 18, but if you pre-order it now on iTunes, you can get instant download of both previously released tracks. As for the band, they’ll be hitting the festival tour circuit this Summer, hitting some of the biggest Summer Festivals including New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Big Guava, Sasquatch, The Governor’s Ball, Coachella and some independent dates as well.

Foster the People Release Second New Track

The full audio of the new track, which happens to be a departure from the dancefloor-esque “Coming of Age” can be heard below.

Supermodel is set to be released on March 18 and will be hitting up festivals all over North America and Europe in support of it including Sasquatch Music Festival, Coachella Music Festival, The Governor’s Ball and many others that will be running during the course of the Summer. foster_the_people

After releasing “Coming of Age” as a lyric video at the beginning of 2014, Foster the People have released the official music video for the song.

The video features images of all the good and bad things that go on with being a teenagers. Things like running from the cops, sitting alone on the bleachers on a football field, smoking cigarettes in secret; just the normal teen angst that we all felt once upon a time ago (or even now) with moody lighting to match.

The eighties-esuqe music video can be seen here.

“Coming of Age” will be featured on Foster The People’s upcoming new album, Supermodel which is set to be released on March 14. According to frontman Mark Foster, this is the band’s most angry album to date. By the way, the band have only two albums.

Foster the People Post Sophomore Album Teaser

foster_the_people

New year, new album?

That’s what it’s starting to look like for Foster the People. Last night, the band released a teaser for fans on Twitter to get them pumped for the new album. the follow-up to 2011’s hit album, Torches was due to be released back in November, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was indefinitely postponed.

The teaser features what appear to be music video clips, gives fans the first taste of the new album, or what we assume to be from the new album. Information has been scarce about the album, so much so that there isn’t even an official album titled yet; it’s still being referred to as their as-yet-untitled sophomore full-length.

The song in the video is called “Coming of Age” and to anyone that might have attended a Foster the People show recently might have been privy to the track live. Other songs that have been revealed to be on the new album, as by the band and their live performance in 2013 are titled “Nevermind,” “Level Up,” and “Fire Escape.”

Until more information comes out way about the album, check out the 45 second clip below.
