Fiona Apple Cancels Only Tour Date

apple

Those hoping to catch a glimpse of Fiona Apple this year at the Primavera Festival in Spain will hae to hold off a little longer because the singer has just announced that she will not be performing there. This brings her total amount of tour dates for 2013 from one to none.

The festival have given no other explanation for her cancellation except for “reasons beyond the control of the organizers of the festival.”

Last year, the singer cancelled her scheduled tour date and wrote a heart-felt letter to her fans via Facebook letting them know that the reason she was cancelling her date was to be with her dying dog, Janet, who was the singer’s best friend.

Apple isn’t the only one who dropped off the festival’s line-up; Foxygen, FIDLAR, and Crime and the City Solution also have cancelled their appearances. But one group’s loss is another group’s gain because the promoters recently added, Phosphorescent, DJ Koze, Django Django, the Drones, and Scuba to their list.
