‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Soundtrack Artists Unmasked

While we will be the first to admit that we have read the Fifty Shades of Grey series (several times, we might add), we will also be the first to admit that the casting for the movie is not what we imagined nor are we that excited for it following all the publicity behind it.

One thing we are excited for is the soundtrack for the upcoming film.

Since the new version of Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” made its debut during the first trailer for the film, we’ve been wondering what the soundtrack would sound like considering music plays a role in the book series.

Yesterday afternoon, the full tracklist for the soundtrack was unveiled and like we had already known, Beyoncé, The Weeknd, and Ellie Goulding are some of the artists on the list, but between Sia, Frank Sinatra, and The Rolling Stones you will find an interesting addition: Danny Elfman.

Yes, the man who voiced Jack Skellington and has written countless scores for Tim Burton will be contributing two scores for the soundtrack: one in honor of our main characters Ana and Christian, and another titled, “Did That Hurt?”

Fitting.

Check out the full tracklist below as well as The Weeknd and Ellie Goulding’s previously released songs.

Over the weekend, a teaser trailer for one of the most anticipated films of 2015, made its debut by an unlikely person; Beyoncé.

When you start to think about the premise of Fifty Shades of Grey and the crazy relationship between Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, it’s almost fitting that Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” would become the anthem of the film adaptation of the best-selling novel.

Today, the full trailer for the film which stars former Once Upon  A Time star, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as the aforementioned characters made its way onto the internet, much to the delight of many giddy women.

Watch the first full trailer below and maybe get a hose ready.

Fifty Shades of Grey hits theaters just in time for Valentine’s Day 2015.

‘Fifty Shade of Grey’ Cast Update

While it might not be music related in many sense, but let’s be honest anything can be music related, it looks like the highly anticipated casting of the last year and a half has come to a close.

Today, Fifty Shade of Grey author, E.L. James announced via Twitter who have won the most sought after role of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, and let’s just say that the fans an onlookers a like were split down the middle over the casting decision.

Taking on the role of billionaire and BDSM lover Christian Grey is Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam. With those not familiar with the show, he plays Jax Teller on the FX biker gang program. Taking on the role of the whiny girl that somehow manages to win Grey’s heart, is Dakota Johnson, daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith who’s biggest role was on FOX’s Ben & Kate.

While the new hit the Twitterverse this morning, it looks like it has taken a mind of its own with people, mostly women who read the full series in three-day (we are completely guilty of that) taking to the social media site to express how the feel about the casting and let’s just say, it was all very good.

So, if you have read the erotic series (don’t lie, admitting is the first step) do you think that the casting does the characters in the series any service? Deep down, we’re still hoping that Ian Somerhalder (or Matt Bomer or Henry Cavill) and Alexis Bledel would take over the naughty roles, but one can dream.
