Kings of Leon Joined On Stage by Chris Martin

What happens when two headlining acts come together to perform one of their songs? You get exactly what happened this bast weekend at Radio One’s One Big Weekend in Glasgow on Sunday.

After headlining the festivities the nothing before, Coldplay’s Chris Martin decided to stick it out an extra day which resulted in the frontman performing alongside fellow headliners, Kings of Leon. The singer took to the stage to sing back up and play guitar alongside the band while also dressed up like KOL frontman, Caleb Followill during the band’s song “Fans.”

Talk about flattery. But it looks like the flattery goes both ways since Followill introduced Martin by calling him the “second most famous singer here today.” We can only guess who the most famous singer at the venue was (we’re being sarcastic of course).

Check out the video straight from the festival here.

My Chemical Romance Fans to Hold Raffle for Make A Wish Foundation

With crazy, obsessive My Chemical Romance fans slowly pushing one of the members of the band away from them, it makes the ten-year anniversary of their sophomore album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge a little bittersweet.

Instead of mourning the loss of their favorite band any longer, members of the MCRmy, My Chemical Romance’s fan base, in the United Kingdom are taking this anniversary to heart and have decided to do something to celebrate the event.

Members of the U.K. fan club have sent out a call to all fans who would like to meet up at London’s Camden Barfly on June 7th. The meet up will double as a charity event, raising funds for the Make A Wish Foundation with actual merchandise from band members.

One of the things to be happening during the event will be a pre-release signing of a new My Chemical Romance book, “The True Lives of My Chemical Romance: An Insightful Biography.” The book was written by Kerrang! writer Tom Bryant who will be signing advance copies of his book, two weeks before its scheduled release.

Former members Frank Iero and Ray Toro are in support of the event as well. Iero sent in an item to be raffled off while Toro had promoted the meet-up online.

Kerrang! has also added something to the raffle though they are not sponsoring the event. When the band won their last K! award, frontman Gerard Way accepted the award with a little drawing of two ghosts. That drawing will be another raffle object with all proceeds going to Make a Wish.

American MCRmy, it’s your move.

The Dangerous Summer Release Statement About Kickstarter Funds

Fans of the Dangerous Summer thought that back in 2012, it would be a great way to show support for the band by donating money to their Kickstarter campaign. The campaign was to raise $14,000 to fund a documentary in April of 2012, but not it’s 2014 and those fans have not seen the release of the DVD, or at least the official version of it.

Property of Zack had managed to get their hands on some of the “lost” footage from the documentary, but other than that, there has been nothing. Today, the band or more like guitarist Cody Payne, have finally felt the fire from the fans and have released a statement about the footage and the DVD.

The full statement from Payne can be read below:

“Sorry for letting you all down, this is 100% my fault and I understand the hate, disappointment and speculation. Just please try and understand how hard it is making a DVD when you have never done it and there were a lot of things that went unaccounted for when planning this thing.

This is not something we can simply refund as the money raised was used to make the DVD which the original version (which we personally were not satisfied with and wanted to redo) has been released in segments online at and if you would like to listen to the hour long concert it is available at I have learned that some people do not have any appreciation for artistic integrity and are simply consumers with needy hands.

Due to all the complaints we are just going to be releasing the original version. Most of the prizes, especially the more expensive ones have been fulfilled and more will continue to be fulfilled as I can come up with the funds out of my personal wallet. This may take some time but this is my fault and im going to have to take responsibility. once again sorry for letting you down,

Cody Payne”

Britney Spears Unveils Album Art and Letter to Fans

Britney Spears is definitely letting fans know how much they mean to her and how personal her upcoming album, Britney Jean, means to her.

Today, the pop star unveiled the cover art for her new album which can be seen above as well as a handwritten letter thank her fans for sticking with her throughout all her career. The letter was posted on her officially website, but the actual message can be read here:

Dear Fans,

I haven’t sat down to write you guys in SUCH a long time.  Long overdue!  We’re all so used to getting our thoughts out in 140 characters, but sometimes its nice to take time to sit down and write something a little longer and more personal.  I am putting the finishing touches on my new album, “Britney Jean” over the next few days and I am so excited for you to hear it.  I poured my heart and soul into this album and it’s been an incredible journey.  I’ve learned a lot about myself, and as I am finishing, I am reminded of the incredible foundation that has supported me for the last 15 years.  Thank you all for continuing to follow me on this journey and for allowing me to do what I love to do.  I can’t believe this is my eighth studio album and I know I keep telling you that it is my most personal record yet, but its true and I’m really proud of that.

I have been through a lot in the past few years and it has really inspired me to dig deeper and write songs that I think everyone can relate to.  Working with people like Sia, William Orbit, and of course has been an amazing experience.  They have listened to all of my ideas and helped me bring them to life.  There are a lot of really fun, upbeat dance songs, but it was important to me that I show my strength, and my attitude, and my vulnerability.  Of course, I also have some surprises for you guys 😉

I want to show you the different sides of Britney Spears.  I am a performer.  I am a Mom.  I am funny.  I am your friend!  I am Britney Jean.

Hope you love my labor of love!

Love Always,

Britney Jean is scheduled to be released on December 3, just in time for fans to learn the new songs before checking out her residency at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood for the next two years.

Paramore Take on the High Seas

Cruises are one of the coolest ways to go on vacation and at the same time get the best bang for your buck; come on, why do you think there are so many ships and locations to pick from?

Recently, it has become a trend for musicians to get their own cruise ship and take some of their hardcore fans (who could afford it) to come along for watery adventures.

Today, it was announced that Paramore would be hopping onboard the new vacation trend and take some of their fans on their own trip on the high seas in a package titled, “Parahoy!”

For $650, fans can set sail on 4-night cruise, March 7-11, 2014 from Miami to a private island in the Bahamas and have fun with the band members.

Throughout the four nights, fans will get the chance to play activities with each band member, participate in a Q&A session as well as attend two of their performances while on the boat.

4-night luxury cruise, with a stop at our very own private island in the Bahamas
2 shows on the pool deck by your hosts, Paramore
Q&A with Paramore on the Pool Deck
Activities with each member of the band
Autographed commemorative cruise print
Dozens of concerts by other great bands
Great dining options, fun activities, contests, and more!

But that’s not where all the fun ends!

Tegan and Sara will also be jumping on ship as special guests while other bands that will be joining the high water adventures, will soon be announced.

Like it was said earlier, Paramore aren’t the first to get into the cruise ship business; Weezer, Matchbox Twenty, the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block have also taken their fans onto the high seas as well.

For now, check out the band’s announcement to fans about the cruise:

30 Seconds to Mars Ask Fans to Get Tattoos

Ever dreamed of being in a music video?

Ever dreamed of being in a music video for 30 Seconds to Mars?

Well, if you answered yes to the second question then you might just be in luck because the band are currently looking for fans to be in their new music video for “Do Or Die.” But before you start packing your bags or making plans, they have posted some guidelines to be the lucky few to be in the video. The biggest catch is that those wanting to be in the video have to get lyrics of the song tattooed; we know, very extreme.

Read the full message the band released below:

Get the lyrics of DO OR DIE tattooed and be featured in the Official Lyric Video — ALL SUBMISSIONS must follow these guidelines:

• Filmed by the HIGHEST RESOLUTION CAMERA possible.
• Footage must be as STILL as possible (not shaky!)
• Use a TRIPOD if possible to film your clip

INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING when recording your video:

• Your name
• Where you’re from
• Say “I AM THE ECHELON” before your tattoo footage
•  Tell us WHY you’re getting the lyric tattooed
• And be sure to get CLOSE UPS of the area tattooed BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER

Submit your video clips via email OR linked via YouTube (as an UNLISTED VIDEO) to, PLUS attach THIS Documentary Release Form [ Right click + Download here ]  from both YOU and the TATTOO ARTIST.

Remember, you must abide by all of the above to be fully considered, so please make sure you’ve read every line! DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS MONDAY, JULY 29!

While some fans might be die-hard Echelon members willing to do anything for their favorite band, many have criticized the band about this. Some even commented on the post with such messages as “I like the band but I don’t think this is a good idea at all” and “It’s absolutely irresponsible and probably the worst thing Mars has ever done.”

If this was your favorite band, would you be willing to tattoo yourself just to be in a music video? We say, hell no.

‘Hobbit’ Actors Giggle at Fans’ Reaction

Yesterday, we posted up the trailer for the highly anticipated follow-up to last year’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Today, we have had the pleasure of showing you a reaction video featuring some of the cast responding to the reactions that some fans had during the first viewing of the new film’s trailer.

The original clip features two girls viewing the two minute clip for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug which hit the internet yesterday afternoon. One of the two girls says, “I’m breaking into a sweat” before clicking the ‘play’ button on her internet browser leading her into the world Peter Jackson has created.

Upon finding the video of the duo getting beyond excited for the clip, Jackson posted it on his Facebook with the caption, “This is pretty cute.”

But just when you though the “cuteness” stopped there, Jackson posted a sequel to the girls’ video which feature three of the film’s stars, Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly and Lee Pace, dressed in their characters’ attire from the set of the third film, reacting to the fans’ reactions.

“That is an elfin stare if ever I’ve seen one,” says Bloom, while Lilly observes the original clip, “This might be more intense than the trailer.”

The video of the casts’ reaction and the original video can be seen below:

Hayley Williams Releases Statement About Illness

It has been a been about a week since Paramore frontwoman, Hayley Williams came down with a cold that has resulted in cancelled shows and even a cancelled appearance on Conan. The band has had to cancel their Salt Lake City show tonight, due to Williams’ sickness. Due to the unforeseen circumstances, the frontwoman has released a statement to fans, explaining her situation.

“Hey everybody,

First of all… Salt Lake City, I am so sorry that we had to cancel our show. There aren’t many things I regret more than letting our fans down. Canceling shows is a big deal to all of us and I tried so hard just to push through them but unfortunately that wasn’t the smartest idea for my health. Canceling was the last resort and again I’m sorry it came down to that.

Maybe I can just quickly try explain what’s going on, so you hear it straight from me. This started last week when we were meant to play Conan… And I woke up feeling really sick. I thought it was just a sore throat but didn’t want to risk not being well for our own shows, so we cancelled. I stayed in and got some food and of course, caught food poisoning from it… Because, why not? Not to get all graphic on you but it was a lot like that scene in The Exorcist where she projectile pukes green and it’s really violent. That ended up burning my throat which made it sore all over again. Then to make matters worse I woke up a couple of days later having gotten some sort of virus, which is what I’m still dealing with now.

And there you have it. Clearly, it has not been my week. I wish that my being sick didn’t affect so many people and again, I am terribly sorry to everyone who I have let down by not being able to perform tonight.

Thanks to everyone who’s sent me a get well soon message or any kind of support over the last week. So thankful that music has connected us.
See you all soon.
