Blink-182, Weezer, and Limp Bizkit to headline Inkcarceration 2020

Inkcarceration_2020_header.jpgIs it just us, or are the 90s making a full comeback?

If you’re shaking your head, not quite sure what we mean, all you need to do is take a look at the current state of fashion or the lineup for the 2020 incarnation of Ohio’s Inkcarceration Festival.

On Wednesday (Dec. 18), the people behind the annual rock-centric music and tattoo festival unveiled their lineup for their third annual event.

Headlining the three-day festivities are Blink-182, Weezer, and Limp Bizkit (yes, Limp Bizkit).

Joining Blink-182, Weezer, and Limp Bizkit on the 2020 roster will be Papa Roach, Halestorm, Mastodon, Underoath, Atreyu, New Politics, All That Remains, We Came as Romans, The Devil Wears Prada, New Years Day, Escape the Fate, and many more.

According to a press statement, additional bands will be unveiled at a later time. Over 40 groups will reportedly take over one of two stages during the weekend-long gig.

Because this is a music and tattoo festival, festival organizers also revealed that 60 tattoo artists will be on hand to give concertgoers some new ink.

In addition to the killer musical lineup and tattoo artists, the event will also include tours of the Ohio State Reformatory (aka the Shawshank prison), gourmet food trucks, drinks, and the return of the popular haunted house attraction, Escape from Blood Prison.

Talk about celebrating Halloween in July.

Inkcarceration 2020 will return to its home at the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio, during the weekend of July 10-12.

Tickets for Inkcarceration 2020 are currently available for purchase here.

Escape the Fate gets emotional for ‘Breaking Me Down’

image

The guys from Escape the Fate are not shy about addressing issues with their music, just look at the name of their recently released album, Hate Me. After days of teasing fans about the music video for their latest single, “Breaking Me Down,” the group has finally debut the emotional clip. On Monday (Nov. 7), the band released the song’s three-and-a-half minute clip features a guy taking care of his mother.

The mother appears to have given up on life, spending her days drinking booze and taking pills. Like any good son, the guy spends his days taking care of his mother by refilling her vodka bottles with water so she’s not really drinking alcohol and trying to feed her while also working a dead-end job.

“We hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed shooting it. It is an important message you should not only hear but listen to,” says Escape the Fate frontman, Craig Mabbitt. “Shout out to Jacoby for his contribution to this song. Thank you all for your continued love and support of our music. We will see you on the road”

As mention in the press release, the music video treatment was co-written by Papa Roach‘s Jacoby Shaddix and directed by Orie McGinness. Watch the emotional clip below.

“Breaking Me Down” is featured on Escape the Fate’s recently released record, Hate Me. In support of the record, the band will be hitting the road with Nonpoint for their final tour of 2016. The “Hate Poison” tour is set to kick off this Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Summit Music Hall in Denver. After being on the road for less than a month, the 21-day tour will wrap up on Dec. 3 at the House of Blues in Chicago. Get Scared, Failure Anthem, and Through Fire are set to performing during the trek as well. The complete list of tour dates can be seen here.

Escape the Fate get interrogated in video for “Remember Every Scar”

image

Escape the Fate has returned with their brand new music video for their new single, “Remember Every Scar.” On Monday (March 14), the Las Vegas-based band released the clip which starts off with them being booked, and photographed, at a jail. After that, each member is taken into an interrogation room with a detective trying to get something out of them.

By the way his tactics appear o get harsher, it looks like he never quite gets the answer from the ETF guys, so he resorts to something different. Check out the music video for “Remember Every Scar” below.

Even after watching the music video, the real question we have is, “what exactly did the guys from Escape the Fate do to end up being booked and charged.”But, if you’re thinking of being funny and saying something like “it’s Escape the Fate, duh,” then we’re already ten steps ahead of you.

“Remember Every Scar” is the second single off of Escape the Fate’s recently released album, Hate Me. In support of the new record, which came out last October, the group will be hitting the road once more this year.

Back in February, it was announced that Escape the Fate will hit the road with HELLYEAH, New Years Day, and From Ashes to New for the “We’re All in This Together” tour. The trek will officially launch on April 30 at Welcome to Rockville in Jacksonville, FL. The complete list of upcoming tour stops can be found here.

Escape the Fate “Remember Every Scar” with New Song

image

With their brand new album due to be released next month, Escape the Fate has unleashed another new song from the impending album. The new track is titled “Remember Every Scar” and unlike lead single “Just a Memory,” there’s no screaming on this track; a big shift which just might make this song one of the most “mellow” ones on the album. It definitely feels like the track that the complete audience would be singing in unison during a show.

Listen to “Remember Every Scar” below.

“Remember Every Scar” will join “Just a Memory” on Escape the Fate’s fifth studio album, Hate Me. Hate Me is scheduled to be released on Oct. 30 through Eleven Seven Music. In support of the new album, the Vegas-based band will be hitting the road this fall. The tour will begin on Oct. 13 at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA and conclude on Nov. 15 at Soma in San Diego.

Heading on the road alongside them will be A Skylit Drive, Sworn In, Sirens & Sailors, and Myka Relocate. Tickets for the shows are currently available online while the complete list of upcoming tour dates can be seen here.

Hate Me is the follow-up to Escape the Fate’s 2013 release, Ungrateful. Pre-orders for Hate Me are currently available with several bundles being offered. For those who want to purchase the deluxe edition of the record, iTunes and Amazon are offering that option as well.

Escape the Fate Drop Video for “Just a Memory”

image

Just a few days after the release of the lead single off of their new album, Escape the Fate has returned with the official music video for “Just a Memory.” The video finds the band making their way through the desert, fitting for a band created in Nevada, to some isolated area of the sand covered terrain. There, in the middle of the desert, there’s a metallic looking structure with some speakers with the words “HATE ME” printed on them. From there, they launch into the song.

Check out the music video for “Just a Memory” below.

Escape the Fate Drop “Just a Memory,” Announce New Album and Tour

image

Escape the Fate may have just come off the Vans Warped Tour a couple of weeks ago, but now the band is unveiling a slew of good news for their dedicated fan base.

Today (Aug. 18), the band announced that they will be releasing a new album this fall titled Hate Me. Originally meant to be announced today, news of the band’s new record was leaked on Monday (Aug. 17), but that did not stop the group from holding off until it was supposed to be revealed.

In honor of the new album announcement, the band has also premiered the lead single off of Hate Me, a track titled “Just a Memory.” Listen to the song below and if you are digging the track, the band is giving the song away for free for the next 48 hours.

When asked about the album title which in a way fits the band since a lot (and we mean a lot) of people hate them, frontman Craig Mabbitt admitted that the name was a nod at the hatred people have for them.

“Lyrically, a lot of these tracks are based around the hate we’ve received over the years and just embracing that and using it to our own advantage,” admitted Mabbitt.

“I’ve had to step up to the plate lately, for the fans as much as anything else, because they take the name Escape The Fate very seriously and I owe them something for that, for all the support they’ve shown us over the years. It’s very humbling for me to be able to listen to this collection of songs and think about where we’ve come from and what we’ve been through to get to this point.”

But standing up for their supportive fan base is not the only thing this record will stand for. According to Mabbitt, it will also be the beginning of a new era for the band.

“It’s the start of a new era for us,” adds Mabbitt. “We’re getting back on our feet, putting our middle finger up to the world and proving ourselves individually and collectively.”

In addition to the new album and lead single, Escape the Fate has also revealed they will be heading out on tour this fall n support of Hate Me. The tour will include support from A Skylit Drive, Sworn In, Sirens & Sailors, and Myka Relocate. Check out the full list of tour dates below.

Falling in Reverse to Perform ‘Dying is Your Latest Fashion’ in Full

image

Yes, you read the headline right.

Falling in Reverse will be performing Escape the Fate’s breakout album in full during their upcoming Spring Tour.

Former Escape the Fate frontman Ronnie Radke announced the news online. In a statement, he explains that it’s to not only celebrate the impending 10th anniversary of the album, but to also give the fans who never got the opportunity to see those songs performed live (with him as the singer, we assume) the chance to see it.

“I decided to play Dying Is Your Latest Fashion for the fans to experience the 10-year anniversary coming up. I wanted to give the fans that never got to see those songs live an unforgettable experience. Kids should expect a blast of nostalgia and some familiar faces plus their favorite Falling In Reverse songs!”

Familiar faces? We’re curious.

As the official tour poster (can be seen below) states, there will be three acts to every single tour date. Ghost Town will open the show and will be followed by Falling in Reverse performing Dying is Your Latest Fashion. After that, FIR will wrap things up with their own material or “classics” like Radke said.

Check out the full list of tour dates below which will begin on April 24 at San Diego’s House of Blues and end on June 5 at San Francisco’s The Regency Ballroom.
