What happens when you have headlined your share of music festivals? You decide that it’s time that you create your own music festival and that’s exactly what Justin Vernon is planning on doing.

Following in the likes of Jane’s Addiction Perry Farrell, Metallica, The National and many more artists (yes, even Insane Clown Posse), the Bon Iver frontman has decided to create his own music festival.

According to The Current, the singer has joined forces with the production company behind Boston Calling to launch the Eaux Claire Music and Arts Festival in Eau Claire, WI next Summer.

While there hasn’t been an official announcement of the festival or when it will take place, sneaky people found out it would take place July 17-18, 2015 at Foster Farm in Eau Claire. The information came courtesy of a permit application filed which officially¬†passed its final rounds of approvals last night (Oct. 28).

The plans for the festival include three performances area which would explain the two stages as well as 6,000 person capacity tent requested. The tent will reportedly house artists which will all be curated by Vernon.

In addition to all that, Vernon’s festival will also offer on-site camping for attendees. In the application, it’s note that they expect 25,000 people to attend each day of the festival.

But the best part of it for Eau Claire, like Chamber of Commerce President Bob McCoy said, the festival can bring in about “eight or nine million dollars” of tourism money to Vernon’s hometown.

Not too shabby for a place many people didn’t even know existed.
