Walk the Moon drop surprise new song ‘Eat Your Heart Out’

Surprise! Walk the Moon have given their fans a brand new song to add to their summer playlist.

On Friday (June 21), the Ohio-founded act released yet another standalone single. Titled “Eat Your Heart Out,” the tune finds the group sticking to what they do best; giving us the perfect combination of danceable beats, drums, guitar, bass, and of course keyboards.

“Hey, friends good news our song EAT YOUR HEART OUT is out there in the world. This one means a lot to us, and we’re super excited to share it with you,” the group tweeted.

To coincide with the track’s debut, the four-piece dropped the music video for “Eat Your Heart Out.”

The four-minute clip features each member of the band performing the song from the comfort of their own homes. The video also includes each member letting loose and goofing off (frontman Nicholas Petricca is even caught wearing a onesie as he plays around in his music room).

The best part of the clip, in our opinion?  The inclusion of some of the guys’ dogs because dogs make everything better.

For some fans, the new clip is a flashback to the band’s old days alla their “7in7” music video series.

The new song comes days after fans began receiving packages in the mail from the band. The kits came in plain, white boxes with the band’s name on it. Inside the box was a note and four cookies with one featuring the date “6.21.19” and the link WTMEYHO.com, the other was shaped like a heart with the words “Eat Your Heart Out,” another heart-shaped cookie with a collage of colors, and the additional cookie featured the band’s name printed on it.

Earlier this year, Walk the Moon released “Timebomb.” The track marked the band’s first new song since the release of their fourth studio album, What If Nothing.
