“Pompeii” be damned because Bastille have released another song from their upcoming mixtape, VS. (Other People’s Heartache, Part 3) which is due out in December.
Last week, the British band released their first new track in a long time; a song titled “Torn Apart.” The new song made its grand debut the only way any high profiled song does, especially if you are from across the pond: on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show. Today, Bastille have gone ahead and released another new track from the upcoming record, a tune named “The Driver.”
“The Driver” will also be featured on the soundtrack for BBC’s re-scoring of the the Ryan Gosling-starring film, Drive. Zane Lowe will be acting as curator for the re-scoring soundtrack. The BBC is set to air the film on Oct. 30 with the new soundtrack scoring it. But sorry kids, the broadcast will only take place in the United Kingdom.
Check out the stream of the new track below.
Bastille frontman Dan Smith had recently said that the band was trying to record a new album, but it does not come as a surprise that it’s been a little hard to get to the studio with all the live performance, tour dates, and festivals the “Bad Blood” group have been on since “Pompeii” launched them to stardom.
