Lady Gaga Shoots Down Rumors

A lot of rumors have been surfacing that things are not roses over at Lady Gaga’s camp.

First there’s the rumor that her record label, Interscope Records lost millions with her new albums. Now there’s talk about the reasons as to why her new music video for her current single, “Do What U Want” is taking longer than expected to be made.

Taking to a fan chat last night, Mother Monster hit those rumors head on and in a way threw shade at some of the people responsible for some of the grievances with the new album and other things. One of her punching bag, though they were not names specifically was her former management.

Though ARTPOP was successful, selling about 258,000 copies in its first week, it did not do the stellar sale that Born This Way did back when it was released; BTW sold about 1.1 million in the same time frame. Back when the album was released an article was published, claiming that Interscope lost a reported $25 million on the campaign for the album resulting in employee lay-offs.

But that’s not the only issue that has raised some eyes brows. Back in November, it was revealed that the video for “Do What U Want” would be released in a month’s time from that confirmation. Here we are in 2014, and still no video has been released. During the fan chat, Gaga released the following statement about why the video is taking so long.

“[The “Do What U Want” video] is late because, just like with the “Applause” video unfortunately, I was given a week to plan and execute it… All my most successful videos were planned over a period of time when I was rested and my creativity was honored.

Those who have betrayed me gravely mismanaged my time and health and left me on my own to damage control any problems that ensued as a result. Millions of dollars are not enough for some people. They want billions. Then they need trillions. I was not enough for some people. They wanted more…

The next few months of ARTPOP will truly be its beginning. Because those who did not care about ARTPOP‘s success are now gone, and the dreams I have been planning can now come to fruition.

Please forgive me that I did not foresee this coming, I never thought after all the years of hard work that those I called friends and partners would ever care so little at a time I needed them the most…”

She ended her message by asking her fans to forgive her and “be for you the Goddess that I know I truly am.” And as for the rumor about the Interscope slump and investment, she tied that up nicely by saying. “there is no truth to many of your comments, including the 25 million dollar deficit. These are rumors that are being repeated and spread.”

Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera Release “Do What U Want (Remix)”

We’re sure that when Lady Gaga was announced to perform on The Voice season finale, nobody guessed that the pop star would be taking the stage with one of the judges to put on one the most stellar performances. The performance was so good, that it even outshone the winner of the season (it was Tessanne for those that haven’t gotten the results yet).

Since the public took the remixed version of the song so well, it was announced that Christina Aguilera and Gaga went into the studio to record an official version of the song. Gaga announced via Twitter that the song would be for sale come the new year.

“Here’s ‘Do What U Want feat. Christina Aguilera’ STUDIO Version. http://smarturl.it/DoWhatUWantX  pink champagne, gold lame, hair, and fearlessness,” Mother Monster wrote on the social media site to get her Little Monsters excited for the new year.

Aguilera tweeted something similar to Gaga’s message; “Happy New Year! Loved performing #DWUW with @LadyGaga so we made a special version just in time for NYE! Xo Xtina http://smarturl.it/DoWhatUWantX.”

Check out the official studio version here:

Up until the performance which took place last month, there had been some rumors that the two divas were in an intense fight. All that went out the window when they took the stage.

“I was really excited because The Voice called and wanted me to perform on the finale and I obviously can’t refuse,” said Gaga about getting the opportunity. “It’s such an amazing show and I said, ‘I’ll do it, but I want to know if Christina will do it with me.”

“This is the first time we’ve ever met and I have to say, when I heard she wanted to collaborate I said, ‘Of course! Lady Gaga!’ I’ve been waiting to meet her. She’s such an innovative artist and a risk taker and as a fellow female, I have so much respect for that.”

“She’s the most down to earth real person that I’ve ever met in this business. Female to female in this industry, it’s really hard to find that kind of a person,” Aguilera added. “I love you girl, and you deserve everything that you’ve earned.”

Lady Gaga Rocks the Stage on ‘The Voice’

While fans of The Voice anxiously awaited who would be crowned the winner of season five (spoiler in case you didn’t see or have not been on the internet, Jamaican singer Tessanne Chin won) many performers took the stage to help make the wait longer and more exciting.

Paramore, Celine Dion with Ne-Yo and OneRepublic all took the stage, but the performers who stole the show was joint effort between Lady Gaga and judge, Christina Aguilera.

At first glance,it looked like Gaga would be taking the stage to perform her current single off ARTPOP, “Do What U Want” with R. Kelly, but the surprise came with Aguilera was the one to appear singing his parts of the song.

Even naysayers had to admit that the two divas sounded incredible, in their matching outfits, putting to rest anymore rumors that there was some kind of feud between them.

Check out the video below and let us know if you agree that they should make their own studio version of the song.

“Do What U Want” with Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga gave fans a quick snippet of her new song, “Do What U Want” last week, but today, the pop star has revealed the full song to the public.

Yesterday, Gaga took to her Twitter to first address all the haters with all the “disses” she had received in the past. Some would call it a Twitter rant, others like us call it very good publicity stunt.

The issues that she tackled included being called a cheap imitation of Madonna, how Katy Perry’s new single, “Roar” outshone her own “Applause” when they were released on the same week as well as those rumors that she was in fact a hermaphrodite and that she was fat and others that you might want to check out on your own if you haven’t already.

Well, haters aside, she used all of the publicity to announce that the new song would be released at 12:01 a.m. in full. The song, which we had learned, features R. Kelly who was also supposed to be releasing a new album, but sadly was pushed back from its original release date.

Anyways, check out the new song which was featured on the new Beats by Dr. Dre commercial in full below.

Oh and to answer your questions ahead of time, that is in fact a picture of Gaga’s derrière.

Eminem isn’t the only one heading over to Dre to premiere a new song via one of his commercials for his popular headphones, Beats by Dre.

Following in the rapper’s footsteps, Lady Gaga premiered another one of her new song, “Do What U Want”, through the new commercial for the headphones and Best Buy. Last night, Mother Monster let her dear Little Monsters know that her new track which features R. Kelly, would be making its debut through the teaser and as you can guess, they all were beyond the moon. Sure enough, the video premiered and all those followers went to listen to snippet of the new song.

Last week, Gaga had revealed that she would be premiering a new song titled “Venus” when she asked her social media followers to guess which of her new track it would be. Finally, after much guessing, it was revealed that the song would officially debut on October 27.

Check out the 30 second clip below which features the newest addition to the Beats family.

“Do What U Want” is Gaga’s second song off ARTPOP to be featured in a nationwide commercial; her first single, “Applause” is currently featured on the new KIA Soul commercials. ARTPOP will be released on November 11 and we’re pretty sure her Little Monsters are counting down the days.
