A Perfect Circle welcomes the new year with new song

This past weekend, A Perfect Circle frontman Maynard James Keenan teased fans on social media by telling them to have their “headphones ready Tuesday morning” because there could be a possibility of a “New Year’s treat.” On Tuesday (Jan. 2), as promised, the California-founded supergroup unleashed a brand new song titled “Disillusioned.” Listen to the new, almost-six-minute song above.

“Disillusioned” will join previously released single “The Doomed” on A Perfect Circle’s much-anticipated fourth album. Back in October of 2017, the five-piece officially unveiled “The Doomed”; their first new song in almost four years. Shortly after unveiling the audio for the new song, the band returned with its black-and-white video.

The upcoming new album, which has yet to formally get a release date or a title, will be the group’s first new record in 14 years. Even though the record has yet to be given an official release date, speculations have begun that the album will see a tentative release time frame of the second quarter of 2018. A Perfect Circle’s last studio album was 2004’s eMOTIVe.

In support of the still-not-titled new album, the group will hit the road beginning this spring. The upcoming tour engagements will kick off with the band’s appearance at the inaugural Los Rageous Music Festival in Las Vegas. A Perfect Circle’s complete tour itinerary, which includes a slew of music festival appearances, can be found below.
