It’s official. PVRIS is back with a brand new track! On Friday (July 12), the Massachuttes-founded band unleashed their first new song in two years. Titled “Death of Me,” the tune finds the group honing in on what they do best; mixing rock music with electro-pop.
The new song comes days after the band first began teasing fans on social media about the potential of new music. The group confirmed the speculation by posting a 15-second clip on Twitter and the caption “New song, new video. Friday.”
To coincide with the song’s release, the band unveiled the track’s music video.
“We wanted to match the seductive grittiness of the song with uncertain, tense and subliminal visual themes,” vocalist Lynn Gunn said about the Katharine White-directed video.
“We also hid – in plain view – references to the occult and divination, to be unpacked by the viewer… if they so choose.”

According to a press statement, “Death of Me” is the first taste of PVRIS’ upcoming new album. The yet-to-be-titled record will be released through the act’s new home of Reprise/Warner Records. No word yet on when the group’s third studio album will reportedly be released. PVRIS’ last studio album was 2017’s All We Know of Heaven, All We Need is Hell.
In support of the new tune, PVRIS previously announced a slew of gigs. The band will perform at a handful of European music festivals this August including Reading and Leeds, Pukkelpop Festival, and Milano Rocks. The trio will return stateside in September for Riot Fest Chicago for the music festival’s massive 15th-anniversary event.
