Official ‘Doctor Who’ Trailers Released By the BBC

Day of the Doctor

In less than two weeks, Whovians from all over the world will finally be able to see the highly anticipated 50th anniversary special of the hit BBC sci-fi show, Doctor Who.

Until this point, fans of the long-running show, had been going on pure faith on how the show will go. Last week, a synopsis had been given and until this weekend, the only trailer that had been released was back in July during Comic Con where current show runner, Steven Moffat, reasoned with fans in attendance not to post the trailer because further sneak-peeks for the show would not happened if a leak did.

Another thing that fans had going for them was that fan favorite the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) and his first companion in the new body, Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) would be in the special alongside the current Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith), his companion Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) and the “Hurt” Doctor played by John Hurt.

Thanks to the BBC, an early edition of the first official trailer had been released on Friday, but no less than 12 hours later two official trailers hit the internet and almost shut down Tumblr over the excitement about it.

Both trailer can be seen below.
