‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 18 Cast Revealed

Dancing with the Stars has been making headliners over the past few weeks with not exactly the best kind of news. First the people behind the series fired longtime band leader, Harold Wheeler and his 28-piece band to make room for a new band to “freshen” up the series.

Then two weeks ago, the series fired underwhelming co-host Brooke Burke-Chavert only to replace her with another underwhelming choice for co-host, Erin Andrews in an effort to bring in younger viewers. Among all the bad news, the list of contestants for the upcoming season had finally been revealed.

Taking to Good Morning America, like they do every season, the list was revealed to include a few actors, some musicians and of course some athletes. The full list of season 18 contestants can be seen below

Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian from Star Wars) and Emma Slater

Candace Cameron Bure (DJ Tanner from Full House) and Mark Ballas

Charlie White (Olympic Gold Medalist; Ice Dancing) and Sharna Burgess

Cody Simpson (Singer) and Witney Carson

Danica McKellar (Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years) and Valentin Chmerkovskiy

Diana Nyad (Swimmer) and Henry Byalikov

Drew Carey (Comedian, Host of The Price is Right) and Cheryl Burke

James Maslow (Big Time Rush band member) and Peta Murgatroyd

Meryl Davis (Olympic Gold Medalist; Ice Dancing) and Maksim Chmerkovskiy

NeNe Leakes (The Real Housewives of Atlanta) and Tony Dovolani

Sean Avery (NHL Player/Model) and Karina Smirnoff

Amy Purdy (U.S. Paralympic snowboarder) and Derek Hough

A new twist has been revealed as well in an attempt to being in new viewers. The contestants will get the chance to switch partners and American will get to vote on the new pairings. What about that for a twist?

Dancing with the Stars season 18 is set to premiere on March 24 on ABC.
