Paramore, Best Coast to embark on North American tour in the fall

Paramore’s fifth studio album hit stores last week and now, it looks like the band is ready to take the new tunes on tour. On Monday (May 15), the Tennessee-founded band announced plans to hit the road this fall. The tour, which has been named “Tour Two,” will kick off on Sept. 6 at the Moran Theater in Jacksonville, Florida and conclude almost a month and a half later on Oct. 17 at the Ryman Auditorium in the band’s hometown of Nashville. Best Coast will open for Paramore for most of the excursion with the exception of all three Florida stops (Jacksonville, Miami, and Orlando).

For fans ready to purchase tickets, there will be a total of three pre-sale options. The first pre-sale option is AT&T’s priority pre-sale which begin on Thursday, May 18, at 10 a.m. local time. More information about that option can be seen here. The second pre-sale option available is for Citi® card members. Those who qualify will get the opportunity to purchase tickets beginning Saturday, May 20, at 10 a.m. local time through Citi’s Private Pass® program. More information about that option can be seen here.

The third and final pre-sale option comes directly from Paramore. Like many bands hitting the road this year, Paramore has joined forces with Ticketmaster to combat bots and scalpers. Fans who are interested in purchasing pre-sale tickets through the band will need to register and become a verified fan. Those who register, and are verified, will receive a unique code on Wednesday, May 17, two hours before the tickets go on sale. Once they get to the pre-sale page to purchase the tickets, they will need to enter the unique code which will guarantee them tickets. Registration to become a verified fan is currently available here and will end on tonight at 10 p.m. PST.

Once all the pre-sales end, general admission tickets for the tour will begin next Wednesday, May 24, at 10 a.m. local time. For more information about the tour, head on over to Paramore’s website here.

In support of After Laughter, Paramore has revealed that they will make several live television appearances. On Wednesday, May 17, the group will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! while on Wednesday, May 24, they will perform on The Late Late Show with James Corden. After a few months away from live television, the band will return to the small screen on Friday, Aug. 25, when they hit the stage as part of Good Morning America‘s 2017 “GMA Summer Concert Series.”

Mayday Parade, The Juliana Theory, Story of the Year added to Warped Rewind at Sea

Back in December, the inaugural Warped Rewind at Sea was announced. The music-centric cruise would take all the good aspects of the annual punk rock music festival known as the Vans Warped Tour and place it on a boat instead of a hot parking lot. During the announcement, it was also revealed that 3OH!3, Bowling for Soup, Cartel, Good Charlotte, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Simple Plan, and the Starting Line would all perform during the four-night excursion. At the time, Warped Tour founder, Kevin Lyman had promised that many more artists would be revealed at a later time.

On Thursday (Jan. 19), more Warped Tour veterans were added to the lineup. Mayday Parade, Story of the Year, Face to Face, The Juliana Theory, and Underoath’s Aaron Gillespie would also be hitting the high seas at the end of October/beginning of November.

The announcement was officially made on the music cruise’s social media accounts. “Let’s go! Story of the Year, Mayday Parade, The Juliana Theory, Face to Face, Aaron Gillespie, and the Emo Band are joining the party,” says the high-sea music festival’s Twitter accompanied by a short clip announcing the additions.

Warped Rewind at Sea will take place during the weekend of Oct. 28, 2017-Nov. 1, 2017. The excursion will include a four-night round-trip cruise from New Orleans to Cozumel, Mexico. In addition to the lengthy list of performers, the cruise will also feature DJs, comedians, a Q&A session with Lyman, activities and autograph sessions with the artists, “Emo Nite” parties, and more. Tickets for Warped Rewind at Sea are currently available on the event’s website here.

Vans Warped Tour launches at sea edition

What’s more fun than getting all your friends together to spend 12 hours in the heat as you watch some of your favorite bands perform 30 minute sets? How about doing the same exact thing, except on a boat in the middle of the ocean during the week of Halloween? On Wednesday (Dec. 7), Vans Warped Tour head-honcho Kevin Lyman announced the inaugural Warped Rewind at Sea cruise.

As the name implies, Warped Rewind at Sea takes all the things Warped Tour attendees love about the “punk-rock summer camp” and places them on a cruise ship. The event will be a “special experience for 2,300 Warped fans” which will include personal interactions with some of their favorite musicians.

The cruise, which will take place during the week of Oct. 28, 2017-Nov. 1, 2017 will include a four-night round-trip cruise from New Orleans to Cozumel, Mexico. During the four nights, the passengers will be treated to multiple performances by 3OH!3, Bowling for Soup, Cartel, Good Charlotte, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Simple Plan, the Starting Line, and more to be announced at a later date.

The excursion will also feature DJs and comedians, much like Warped Tour on land, as well as a Q&A session with Lyman, activities and autograph sessions with the artists, “Emo Nite” parties, and more.

“Packing as much fun into a ship as we do into a parking lot seemed like a great challenge, and Sixthman has given us that opportunity,” said Lyman in a press release. “We are excited to finally bring Warped Tour to the sea and we hope you can join us.”

Tickets for Warped Rewind at Sea are currently available on the event’s website here. Watch the official announcement video below as you start planning how to shove all your black clothes and eyeliner into one huge luggage (spoiler: it’s hard).

Motörhead to Launch Their Own Cruise

When do you know that the trend of having band-oriented cruises have become a thing? When one of metal’s biggest groups decides to put one together.

Bands and cruise have recently become a trend with bands such as Weezer with last week’s Weezer Cruise, Paramore with their upcoming PARAHOY!, the Backstreet Boys with their cruise, Train and even some festival taking to the high seas rather than a festival ground to perform. Today, another band has been added to the list: Motörhead.

Lemmy has revealed that he and the boys will be heading out on a cruise which they have dubbed, Motörboat. The cruise will make its maiden voyage this upcoming fall, though dates and other artists that will be onboard to perform will be announced at a later date.

Lemmy’s health has been a concern as of lately, but in order to announce such an adventure, he must be a little better than it had previously been reported. Check out the official poster from the band below and tell us if you’re down with this new music trend.

Weezer Announce Small Club Tour

weezer-Ethan-Miller

Weezer’s 2014 is going to be quite an eventful one all beginning with the Weezer Cruise that is set to set sail from Jacksonville, FL on February 13th and goes all around the Bahamas for five days full of scenic paradises and music. For those missing out on the cruise, it’s going to be a good one with two ports of call in the Bahamas with private island beach parties and concerts.

We’re jealous.

But the cruise is just the beginning for them because they have also announced that they will be hitting up several small clubs to perform at from April clear into June of this year. The Weezer tour will begin after they play a free show at Universal Studios Orlando’s yearly event, Mardi Gras.

Previously, it was revealed that Weezer had gone back into the studio with Ric Ocasek to record their ninth studio album which should be due out sometime this year; hopefully while they are touring. Ocasek, for whoever is not familiar with him, produced two of Weezer’s biggest albums 1994’s Weezer also known as The Blue Album and 2001’s Weezer also known as The Green Album as well as fronted The Cars

Paramore Take on the High Seas

Paramore-2013

Cruises are one of the coolest ways to go on vacation and at the same time get the best bang for your buck; come on, why do you think there are so many ships and locations to pick from?

Recently, it has become a trend for musicians to get their own cruise ship and take some of their hardcore fans (who could afford it) to come along for watery adventures.

Today, it was announced that Paramore would be hopping onboard the new vacation trend and take some of their fans on their own trip on the high seas in a package titled, “Parahoy!”

For $650, fans can set sail on 4-night cruise, March 7-11, 2014 from Miami to a private island in the Bahamas and have fun with the band members.

Throughout the four nights, fans will get the chance to play activities with each band member, participate in a Q&A session as well as attend two of their performances while on the boat.

WHAT YOU GET
4-night luxury cruise, with a stop at our very own private island in the Bahamas
2 shows on the pool deck by your hosts, Paramore
Q&A with Paramore on the Pool Deck
Activities with each member of the band
Autographed commemorative cruise print
Dozens of concerts by other great bands
Great dining options, fun activities, contests, and more!

But that’s not where all the fun ends!

Tegan and Sara will also be jumping on ship as special guests while other bands that will be joining the high water adventures, will soon be announced.

Like it was said earlier, Paramore aren’t the first to get into the cruise ship business; Weezer, Matchbox Twenty, the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block have also taken their fans onto the high seas as well.

For now, check out the band’s announcement to fans about the cruise:
