Motion City Soundtrack Announce Australian Tour

Motion City Soundtrack will be taking their “Commit This to Memory Tenth Anniversary Tour” festivities “down under” this Fall.

The band, who have spent a large portion of 2015 celebrating the anniversary of their sophomore record, have announced they will be taking the celebration to Australia to celebrate alongside their Australian fan base.

The newly announced leg will begin on Aug. 26 at The Studio in Auckland and wrap up on Sept. 3 at The Rosemount in Perth.

Tickets for Australia will go on sale beginning Wednesday, June 17, at 9 a.m.

Check out the official tour poster for the Australian leg of the “Commit This to Memory Tenth Anniversary Tour” below.

Before crossing the world for the newly announced leg, Motion City will give North America another round of performances beginning on July 11 at Mojoes in Joliet with their final performance in the continent on Aug. 2 at Deluxe in Indianapolis.

In addition to all the CTTM tour dates, it was previously announced they will be performing at a couple of special Vans Warped Tour stops this Summer.

Motion City Soundtrack to Head Out on Second Leg of Anniversary Tour

Motion City Soundtrack are cementing their legacy as one of the hardest working bands in the pop-punk world by heading back on tour for the second leg of their “Commit This to Memory Tenth Anniversary Tour.”

The first leg of the anniversary tour wrapped up at the end of February at the House of Blues in Chicago, but now the band have added 17 more dates to the tour, all slated to take place after their three days on this year’s Vans Warped Tour.

The new additions will kick off on July 11 at Mojoes in Joliet, IL and wrap up less than a month later at the Deluxe in Indianapolis.

Unlike the first go-around, Motion City will not have a revolving door of supporting acts. Instead, The Spill Canvas and Sorority Noise will be opening up for them during the complete trek.

The Early November Reveal Big Plans For the New Year

The Early November are going to have a busy 2015.

On New Year’s Day, the New Jersey-based band posted on Facebook that they will be releasing a new album and would be heading out on tour sometime this year.

The touring should not come as a surprise since last year, it was confirmed they would be one of Motion City Soundtrack’s supporting acts on their “Commit This to Memory Tenth Anniversary” tour which is slated to begin later this month.

Plus, frontman Ace Enders has been keeping himself busy by hitting the road; his side project, I Can Make a Mess, just got off a short holiday tour with Anthony Green from Circa Survive, Dan Campbell from The Wonder Years, and Elder Brother.

The news of a new album comes over two years after the release of their last record, In Currents. In Currents was the band’s first new set of songs after reuniting following a lengthy hiatus; the band went on hiatus in 2007.

Fans of Motion City Soundtrack should have known something was brewing when the band’s official Twitter account tweeted out a message that simply read, “Fact. Commit This to Memory will be 10 years old this coming new year (2015).”

If an upcoming tenth anniversary tour was the first thing to come to mind, then you would have been right because the band have now announced plans to hit the road in early 2015 in support of their sophomore album.

The Commit This to Memory tenth anniversary tour will begin on January 17, 2015 at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis. After visiting majority of the United States, the tour will then wrap up on February 26 at the House of Blues in Chicago.

If the tour news wasn’t enough, the band have also revealed they will be playing Commit This to Memory in full (time to brush up on “Make Out Kids”)

But that’s not all.

In support of the tour, Motion City Soundtrack have enlisted a list of artists as their opening acts including Hit the Lights, Hawthorne Heights, The Early Novembers, Copeland, Team, Hellogoodbye, William Beckett and Vinnie Caruana.
