Katy Perry and Kacey Musgrave Collaborate for CMT’s ‘Crossroads’

CMT’s Crossroads has become a hit for the country-oriented network. The television series features country artists getting paired with artists from other genres and come together to perform. In the past the show has featured artists such as Fall Out Boy with The Band Perry, OneRepublic with Dierks Bentley, Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum and many more combinations.

The newest additions to the Crossroads family are Grammy-winner Kacey Musgraves and Katy Perry who have the honor of performing on the series’ 50th episode. Video from the two singers surface today which features a twangy version of Perry’s Fireworks” while they both collaborated on Musgraves’ “Follow Your Arrow.”

Apparently, timing isn’t Perry’s forte because the “Roar” singer rushed both songs at the beginning, even having to restart her own song twice. Like the soldier that she is, Perry jokes about feeling like a plastic bag because of that.

For those no familiar, Musgraves will be joining Perry during her upcoming Prismatic Tour for a month beginning on August 10 and will wrap up her trek on September 1. For now, both videos can been seen below while their full episode of Crossroads will air on June 13 at 10 P.M. ET on CMT.

Fall Out Boy//The Band Perry Collab Released

Remember when we first revealed that Fall Out Boy would be joining the Band Perry in the CMT show Crossroads? It looks like the song that both groups will be performing as part of the show has been revealed as Queen’s “Fat Bottomed Girls”

A few weeks back, it was announced that Fall Out Boy would be making an appearance on the country music show that team┬ácountry music artists with other artist from a completely different genre. The Band Perry had been chosen as the country music artist for this edition of the show while the rock band had been chosen as the “other” group.

At the time, the show had not announced when the taping would be taking place, but apparently one of the two tapings of it had already happened because there has been a leaked performance of the song. According to CMT’s website, the recording of that performance actually took places last Wednesday, October 2 at Nashville’s famous hang out place, Rocketown.

Watch as the two groups come together to cover one of the most iconic bands’ song here.

CMT’s Crossroads featuring the Band Perry and Fall Out Boy is scheduled to air on November 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
