Thirty Seconds to Mars unleash short teaser clip

While most of the country is preparing to see Jared Leto take on the iconic role of The Joker in Suicide Squad (out this Friday, Aug. 5), it appears that the actor is ready to take on another project. On Monday (Aug. 1), a video was posted on Leto’s band (with brother Shannon Leto and guitarist Tomo Miličević) Thirty Seconds to Mars’ Twitter, beginning the chatter of fans and speculations of new music. The clip, which comes in at 38 seconds, finds the group in what appears to be the desert.

The first half of the video features footage of them rock climbing, driving around in the desert (while giving the middle finger to the others), and hanging around a bonfire. The footage quickly shifts to the guys inside of a house getting down to some serious musical business. The video wraps up with a warped vinyl on what may be the desert sand before going black. As soon as the screen goes black, the band’s triangle symbol appears and is quickly replaced by Interscope Records’ logo (blink and you might miss it). The video then comes to a complete end with the text “COMING 2017” appearing on the screen.

Watch the teaser clip below.

While the band is leaving the video open-ended, the main speculation is that some new 30STM music will be released some time in 2017. Back in November of 2015, Leto posted an image on Instagram of himself in front of a microphone. Recently, Rolling Stone wrote a profile on Leto in which they followed the singer into the studio where he was in the process of recording some new tunes.

Whatever the outcomes is, we know that the Echelon will be excited. Thirty Seconds to Mars’ last studio album was 2013’s Love, lust, Faith and Dreams.

Panic! at the Disco tease ‘Don’t Threaten Me with a Good Time’ music video

With a few short weeks left until they kick off their highly-anticipated summer tour, Panic! at the Disco is getting ready to release a brand new music video. On Monday (May 9), the band took to social media to tease fans about the upcoming release. The barely 30-second long clip is an homage to The Twilight Zone but with a spin for the group. Though the clip doesn’t give anything away about the music video (unless the inspiration is going to be The Twilight Zone), we do know that it will be for “Don’t Threaten Me with a Good Time” and is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, May 10.

Watch the teaser clip for the “Don’t Threaten Me with a Good Time” music video below.

“Don’t Threaten Me with a Good Time” is featured on the Las Vegas outfit’s recently released record, Death of a Bachelor. In support of the new album, Panic! announced back in January that they would be heading out on a co-headlining tour with Weezer and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. The summer trek is scheduled to kick off on June 10 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX and wrap up on Aug. 6 at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA. The complete list of tour dates can be found here.

Thrice tease fans with new clip

At the beginning of the year, Thrice confirmed that they were currently working on a brand new album; their ninth studio record. Since that social media confirmation back in early January, little has been revealed with the exception of pictures from the recording studio. On Tuesday (March 15), things changed when the band took to social media, once more, to release a 15-second clip. Like any fans who are eagerly awaiting their favorite band’s new record, speculations have already begun on whether this is one of the new tracks the band has been showcasing on Instagram.

Check out the short clip below.

The newly released clip comes on the heels of the California band announcing a summer tour. The trek will find the five-piece visiting a slew of North American cities throughout the month of June. The tour, which will also feature La Dispute and Gates, will kick off on June 3 at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles and wrap up on June 25 at the Summit Music Hall in Denver. The complete list of upcoming summer tour dates can be seen here.

The still-untitled record will be the follow-up to the band’s 2011 release,  Major/Minor.

Saosin Sign with Epitaph Records, Announce New Album

Can you hear that noise? It’s the sound of Saosin fans cheering and crying over the band’s latest announcement. On Wednesday (Feb. 3), the California group took to the internet to announce several big pieces of news. To begin, the band revealed that they had signed to Epitaph Records. Then, they followed that up by confirmed that they will be releasing a brand new album, their third studio record, later this year.

Because confirming a new record and signing to a new label wasn’t enough, Epitaph posted a 30-second clip on their YouTube page which featured what sounds like a new song with the slowed-down footage of frontman Anthony Green in front of a recording studio microphone. Can you feel the chills yet? Check out the clip below.

“Making this record was such a sentimental thing for me,” explained Green about the new record. “You can literally hear us making amends with each other while lamenting on our experiences together. It was very healing and cathartic, and might be the heaviest thing I’ve been a part of since the first EP. Epitaph is a perfect fit for this band.”

In support of the good news, Saosin previously announced a short tour for March. The tour will kick off on March 11 at The Fillmore on Silver Spring, MD and wrap up on April 2 at Extreme Things in Las Vegas. Young & Heartless have been announced as Saosin’s special guest for the trek. The list of impending tour dates can be seen below.

03/11 Silver Spring, MD @ The Fillmore
03/12 Norfolk, VA @ The NorVa
03/13 Charlotte, NC @ Amo’s South End
03/16 St. Louis, MO @ The Ready Room
03/18 New Orleans, LA @ Howlin’ Wolf
03/19 Grand Prairie, TX @ QuikTrip Park
03/20 Grand Prairie, TX @ QuikTrip Park
03/22 Jacksonville, FL @ Mavericks
03/23 Orlando, FL @ The Beacham
03/24 Fort Lauderdale, FL @ Revolution Live
04/02 Las Vegas, NV @ Extreme Thing

The confirmation of the new record comes more than two years after rumors began. Back in 2014, the band reunited with Green for Skate and Surf 2014 and a handful of shows. During an interview with Alternative Press, the band hinted that there might be a future with Green. Then, hints became a reality when the band, with Green, went on tour in early 2015 only to play a few new songs and confirm that they were in the process of recording a new record.

Teaser for Eminem’s “Monster” Released

Eminem’s second collaboration with Rihanna has already reached the top of the music charts and now a teaser for the official music video has been released.

The short video begins with a black-clad woman entering a room and placing a VHS in a VCR (yes, those still do exist) to show the rapper, who is seated in a chair a video. The video goes on to show the word “violence” first with clips of violence. It then proceeds to reveal the word “family” which shows other images including a clip of Eminem holding his youngest daughter Hailie. And lastly, the word “addiction” comes on the screen showing images of prescription pills. All three words, of course meaning something to Eminem.

The woman dressed in black is later revealed to be Rihanna who will probably play the role of the rapper’s therapist in the video when it is officially release. While none of the actual song is played during the minute-long clip, it does leave some wanting more, doing its job of being a teaser.

No word has been given as to when the actual video will be released, so keep your eyes on the net for that.

President Snow Does His Late Night Rounds

While making his rounds on the late night show press tour, President Snow himself, Donald Sutherland appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Before taking the stage with the late night host, he brought a long with him a new clip from the upcoming series.

The clip was the scene in the book where President Snow tells our heroine, Katniss Everdeen, that she needs to not convince the people of  Panem that she is madly “in love” with fellow District 12 tribute, Peeta Mellark, but rather she needs to convince him. For anyone who has read the books, it’s probably one of the most important scenes of the series (at least in our opinion) and it’s nice to see that it had not been cut out like another important scene from the series.

Check out the snippet from the film as well as Sutherland’s interview from last night.

Tick Tock, the clock is ticking; The Hunger Games: Catching Fire comes out next Friday, November, 22.

Fall Out Boy Post “Young Volcanoes” Clip

Save Rock and Roll

Save Rock and Roll may have been gift enough for fans of Fall Out Boy, but apparently the boys have been feeling extra generous this week because they just finished released the world’s shortest preview for their upcoming music video.

The 19 second clip continues the story from “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark” and “The Phoenix” which is why it says part three in the credits.

The questions that stick out are “will the band escape those female kidnappers at last?” “Will things get better or worse for them?!” or just the simple “what the hell is going on?” But for all purposes, keep it locked, because we will all be finding out real soon (at least that’s what the clip says).

Until then, check out the clip below:
