The Cure, Guns N’ Roses, and Cardi B are just some of the acts making their way to Austin in the fall for the 18th annual Austin City Limits. On Tuesday (April 30), festival organizers unveiled the massive and diverse lineup for the 2019 edition of the event.
Joining the already stacked lineup are Mumford and Sons, Tame Impala, Childish Gambino, Robyn, Thom Yorke performing Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, Kacey Musgraves, Jenny Lewis, Lizzo, Lil Uzi Vert, Billie Eilish, 21 Savage, Rosalía, the Raconteurs, LANY, and many more.
As noted by the official poster for the event, Cardi B will only perform during the first weekend of the gig while Robyn will take over her slot during the second weekend. It’s also noted that the Kooks will only play during the first weekend of the show while Third Eye Blind will take over during weekend two.
This year marks the debut for many headliners including Guns N’ Roses (it’s also their first show in Austin in 25 years), Cardi B, Eilish, and Robyn. This also marks Childish Gambino’s makeup appearance at the weekend-long festival after having to cancel last year due to a foot injury he sustained during the Dallas stop of his “This is America” tour.
The 18th annual Austin City Limits will take over Zilker Park during the weekends of Oct. 4-6 and Oct. 11-13.
Tickets for the three-day event are currently available for purchase on their website. There are four different ticket options to pick from for weekend passes as well as single-day passes. ACL is offering fans several packages including general admission, general admission plus, VIP, and platinum. For more information about the lineup, tickets, or general inquiries, head on over to Austin City Limits’ website.

Outside Lands returns to its home at the iconic Golden Gate Park in San Francisco during the weekend of Aug. 9-11. Tickets for the upcoming event go on sale this Thursday, March 28, at 10 a.m. local time here.

For those not able to make it to California, there’s no need to worry. As with past years, YouTube has been named the festival’s exclusive live-streaming partner. This marks the ninth year YouTube and Coachella have joined forces to give fans the chance to watch the festival sets from the comfort of their homes.
The official lineup reveal comes hours after it was announced that widely speculated headliner Kanye West would no longer perform at the annual music festival. According to TMZ, the rapper was dropped from the bill following a disagreement over the stage’s size and design.

Kendrick Lamar and the team behind the “Black Panther” soundtrack have something else to celebrate this week; they now lead the pack with the most Grammy nominations for the 2019 incarnation of the awards show. On Friday (Dec. 7), Grammy award-winner Alessia Cara, famed Apple Music host Zane Lowe, Shawn Mendes, and 2019 Grammy-nominated Janelle Monáe appeared on CBS This Morning to announce the nominees for several of the awards show’s categories.

Lamar is nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Song Written for Visual Media, and more for his work on the soundtrack for the record-smashing Marvel film. The music-from-movies trend does not end there as Lady Gaga earned a total of four nominations for her work on the “A Star is Born” soundtrack. Like Lamar, Gaga is nominated in the Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Song Written for Visual Media categories for the film’s breakout single “Shallow.” Gaga also received a nomination in the Best Pop Solo Performance category for her song “Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Goin’?)” off her last studio album, Joanne.
Behind Lamar with a total of seven nominations is Drake while producer Boi-1da and Brandi Carlile earned six apiece. Coming in with five nominations are Cardi B, Childish Gambino, H.E.R., Lady Gaga, Maren Morris, producer Sounwave, and mastering engineer Mike Bozzi.

To say Donald Glover’s 2018 has so far been packed with nothing but good things would be an understatement. His hit show on FX, Atlanta, just kicked off its second season. He’s playing Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story film which is set to hit theaters in May. And we cannot forget the slew of Grammys he won earlier this year. With already so much accomplished within the first couple of months of the year, it would be kind of hard to follow it up.
On Monday (March 5), Glover announced that his musical alter-ego, Childish Gambino, will hit the road in the fall for a short, 13-stop tour. Taking to social media, Glover simply wrote: “childish gambino 2018 tour.”
The month-long excursion will kick off on Sept. 6 at the Infinite Energy Arena in Atlanta and conclude on Sept. 30 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver. Hitting the road alongside Glover for the trek will be hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd.
Tickets for the shows will go on sale to general public beginning this Friday, March 9, at noon local time. American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Tuesday, March 6, at noon local time. American Express Card Members pre-sales will conclude on Thursday, March 8, at 10 p.m. local time.
The tour announcement comes hot on the heels of Glover announcing plans to retire his musical alter-ego once he releases his fourth studio album. As of now, only the release time frame and record label for the new album have been confirmed. Glover’s new album should be released by the end of 2018 through RCA Records.
The yet-to-be-titled record will be the follow-up to 2016’s Awaken, My Love!
CHILDISH GAMBINO TOUR DATES:
Sept. 6 — Atlanta, GA – Infinite Energy Arena
Sept. 8 — Chicago, IL – United Center
Sept. 10 — Toronto, ON – Air Canada Centre
Sept. 12 — Boston, MA – TD Garden
Sept. 14 — New York, NY – Madison Square Garden
Sept. 18 — Philadelphia, PA – Wells Fargo Center
Sept. 19 — Washington, DC – Capital One Arena
Sept. 22 — Houston, TX – Toyota Center
Sept. 23 — Dallas, TX – American Airlines Center

One of Jimmy Kimmel’s funniest sketches comes courtesy of all the negative posts people send across Twitter about celebrities then having said celebrities go on his show and read them out loud (some of them having laughing fits along the way).
This week, we got a new all-music edition of the sketch in honor of the Grammy Awards set to take place this upcoming weekend. The cast of musicians include some of pop’s biggest artists and some fellow Grammy nominees as well.
Musicians like Josh Groban, Drake, Katy Perry, Sam Smith, Lady Gaga, and more take a crack at reading the mean tweets because nothing shows you have a sense of humor about those “haters” than reading those hateful messages out loud and laughing (all the way to the bank) about them in the process.
Check out the new edition below.
The 57th Annual Grammy Awards will air live this Sunday, Feb. 8, beginning at 8 P.M. EST on CBS.
Festival season is in full effect now and another one has just announced its lineup.
Boston Calling has announced the artists that will be taking the stages at this year’s event. The show, which will take place during the weekend of September 5-7 will include headlining acts such as The Replacements, Lorde, The National, Nas and the Roots, Childish Gambino, the 1975 and many more. The full lineup list can be seen below.
By the time Boston Calling is set to begin, many of the artists on the list would have already performed at several other festivals that have taken place during the Spring and Summer. This past weekend, Lorde and The Replacements took the stage at Coachella for the second time.
Unlike Lorde, The Replacements got a little help from Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong on vocals due to Replacements frontman Paul Westerberg suffering from a reported back injury. Here’s hoping that by September he’ll be able to perform.
Replacement’s manager, Darren Hill, revealed that the reconstructed band have been asked to play almost every festival this year, but have been choosy about which to do. Hill admits the band decided on Boston Calling because of the connection that they have to the scene.
“The Replacements always had an affinity, a really strong connection, to Boston and the Boston scene,” said Hill. “I’m sure you can expect a surprise in Boston.”
Pre-sale tickets for the three-day show will go on sale beginning Thursday through Ticketmaster. Three-day general admission passes will run you $150 while the VIP passes cost $250.
Watch the official announcement from festival organizers.
We’re not even two weeks into 2014 and the announcements for upcoming festivals keep on coming.
First there was the added list of performers for the Download Festival in the U.K. and now we have the official announcement over who will be performing at their year’s Firefly Music Festival in Delaware.
Performers for the festival include the likes of Imagine Dragons, Weezer, Twenty One Pilots, Foo Fighters, Third Eye Blind, Outkast, Childish Gambino, Young The Giant, Local Natives, Tegan And Sara, City and Colour, Jack Johnson, Sleigh Bells and more.
The four-day festival is set to take place June 19-22 at The Woodlands in Dover, DE. Check out the official announcement from organizers below which has a cool song mash-up. Tickets are set to go on sale beginning on January 20. For more information, head on over to their official website.
