Neck Deep Take Us on a Tour of Their Hometown in “Can’t Kick Up the Roots”

While a lot of Neck Deep fans were scrambling to hear the band’s new single, “Can’t Kick Up the Roots” when it leaked online this past Sunday (May 10), all it took was a little bit of patience (and two days) for the group to release the official music video for the song.

The music video features home video of the UK-based band walking around and partying in a town which we assume is their hometown of Wrexham. Just listen to the lyrics and you will probably agree with out assumptions.

The home video footage is cut together with video of the band performing the song in a room that looks like a place a group of guys, like them, live/lived in.

Watch the video below.

“Can’t Kick Up the Roots” will be featured on the band’s upcoming new record, Life’s Not Out to Get You, set to be released on Aug. 14 through Hopeless Records.

Pre-orders for Life’s Not Out to Get You have already begun on the band’s website. For those who pre-order the record, “Can’t Kick Up the Roots” will be given as an “instant grat” track.

While the album is not due to be released until August, Neck Deep will be heading out on the 2015 Vans Warped Tour for the entire two month plus trek. A great way to promote a new record.

UPDATE:

So, the new Neck Deep song was taken down sometime during the night after we uploaded it here, but don’t panic quite yet because you can hear the new song here.

Sadly, there is a catch. You need to fast forward to the 33 minute and 30 second point to hear the track. It’s not that much of task for the almost three-minute song.

Officially, the song will debut tomorrow.

A week after revealing they will be releasing their new album at the end of the Summer, Neck Deep’s lead single has now been released onto the internet.

The United Kingdom based band’s lead single, “Can’t Kick Up the Roots,” was set to premiere on Tuesday, May 12, but for some reason the release date was moved up when the song made its debut on BBC Radio 1 earlier in the day.

We’re not complaining because now we don’t have to wait an extra couple of days for it.

Check out the song below.

Neck Deep will be heading out on the Vans Warped Tour this Summer for the entire trek while their sophomore album, Life’s Not Out to Get You will hit stores (both digital and physical) on Aug. 14 through Hopeless Records.

Life’s Not Out to Get You is the follow-up to 2014’s Wishful Thinking and was/is being produced by Andrew Wade and Jeremy McKinnon from A Day to Remember.

In a twist, Neck Deep’s album will be released towards the end of the Vans Warped Tour which they will be on for the complete Summer, unlike many of the band’s on the traveling rock show who will be releasing their respective records towards the beginning.
