Bruno Mars announces final ’24K Magic’ North American tour dates

Even with a handful of Grammys under his belt thanks to his recently released third studio album, it looks like Bruno Mars is ready to say good-bye to the era of 24K Magic. On Monday (Feb. 12), the entertainer formally announced the complete tour itinerary for the final leg of his 24K Magic World tour. The fall tour will kick off on Sept. 7 at the Pepsi Center in Denver and wrap up on Oct. 27 with a four-night stop at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles isn’t the only location where Mars will have a multi-night engagement. The upcoming trek will include a number of two-night shows at several of the stops including Denver (Pepsi Center), Philadelphia (Wells Fargo Center), Toronto (Air Canada Centre), Boston (TD Garden), Newark (Prudential Center), Brooklyn (Barclays Center), and Dallas (American Airlines Center).

Hitting the road alongside Mars for 23-stop tour will be breakout rapper/fellow Grammy 2018 nominee, Cardi B.

General ticket sales for the upcoming tour dates will go on sale beginning this Friday, Feb. 16, at noon local time. For those who had tickets for the postponed Oct. 30, 2017 Denver show, those tickets will only be honored at the Sept. 7 show.

Earlier this month, Mars unveiled to fans that he would once again hit the road later this year for the final leg of his lengthy tour. At the time, the crooner had only unveiled the locations of where the shows would take place, omitting the dates and venues. Once the tour wraps up at the end of October, Mars would have performed a total of 135 concerts.

iHeartRadio Music Awards unveil list of 2018 nominees

Now that 2017 has come to an end, iHeartMedia is ready to celebrate the artists that were widely played on their radio stations throughout the year. On Wednesday (Jan. 10), iHeartMedia announced the nominees for the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Leading the pack with a total of seven nominations are Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee for their summer slam hit, “Despacito.” The song is nominated for “Song of the Year,” “Best Collaboration,” “Latin Song of the Year,” “Latin Artist of the Year,” “Best Lyrics,” “Best Music Video,” and “Best Remix.”

Coming in behind Daddy Yankee and Fonsi are Rihanna, Bruno Mars, DJ Khaled, Khalid, Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift, The Chainsmokers, Ed Sheeran, and Camila Cabello with a total of five nominations a piece.

In addition to the typical categories such as “Song of the Year,” “Artist of the Year,” and others, this year will mark the addition of four new categories. “Best Remix,” “Best Boy Band,” “Cutest Musician’s Pet,” and “Best Solo Breakout” will make their debut at this year’s event. All four categories will be voted on by the fans. Voting for the socially elected categories began on Wednesday and will conclude on March 4.

In what may be hard for a “fan army” to process, all four One Direction guys (Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan) are nominated for the “Best Solo Breakout” category.

In trying to put the power of vote in the hands of the fans, fans will also get the chance to vote for the “Social Star Award” and the “Best Fan Army.” Voting for those two categories began on Tuesday and will conclude on March 11. Fans can vote through iHeartRadio’s social site, on the iHeartRadio app, or on the iHeartRadio website here.

This year’s awards show will also mark the first time that seven different awards are handed out during the seven days leading up to the live show. Each night at 8 p.m. ET, an artist will be presented with their award and will be given the opportunity to make an acceptance speech.

The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards will take place Sunday, March 11 from The Forum in Los Angeles. The event will air live on TBS, TNT, and truTV beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The show will also be simulcast on iHeartMedia’s stations nationwide, as well as on iHeartRadio, their all-in-one digital music and live streaming radio service.

As with the past years, the show will feature live performances, once-in-a-lifetime artist collaborations, celebrity guest appearances, and live award presentations. The complete list of nominees can be seen below.

Rock in Rio USA Add More Artists to Line-Up, Unveil “City of Rock” Streets

Rock in Rio USA announced several headlining artists for the upcoming inaugural gathering in Las Vegas back in January, but it looks like those aren’t the only one heading to Sin City for the two weekends.

Today, the festival took to the web to announce the complete line-up. The line-up includes a couple of more performers on the main stages, some DJs that will represent the countries the festival has already invaded (Spain and Portugal to name a few) and those cool “City of Rock” streets they hinted at when the idea was still being formed (each street represents the musical culture of either the United States, United Kingdom, or Brazil).

Check out the full schedule for the two weekend which have been divided in half. The Rock-centric weekend will take place May 8-9 while the Pop music-centric weekend will take place May 15-16.

Rock in Rio USA Reveal Complete Line-Up for Inaugural Event

Last September, Rock in Rio announced they would be bringing the Brazilian party to the United States by recreating the famous festival in the U.S.’ adult playground; Las Vegas.

With the initial announcement made last year, the festival had revealed that acts like Metallica, No Doubt, Deftones, Linkin Park, John Legend, and Taylor Swift had been confirmed to perform at the inaugural event.

Now, the festival organizers have announced the complete, massive line-up for the event slated to take place over the course of two weekends in May.

Announced via a press conference, Sam Smith, Charli XCX, Bleachers, Jessie J, Magic!, The Pretty Reckless, Hollywood Undead, Foster the People, Gary Clark Jr., Saints of Valory, Of Mice and Men, and many more were added to the original line-up from last year.

“We want different flavors. We want different types of artists,” said Roberta Medina, daughter of festival founder Robert Medina in a voice over about the chosen performers.

Tickets for Rock in Rio USA will go on sale beginning this upcoming Monday, Jan. 19 at the festival’s website. General-admission weekend passes will put attendees back $298 while VIP weekend tickets with access to VIP areas, open bars, buffet, and access to an exclusive entrance will cost those interested, $498.

The first weekend, named the “Rock Weekend,” will take place May 8-9, while the second weekend, named the “Pop Weekend,” will take place May 15-16 at the City of Rock MGM Resorts Festival Grounds.

It is estimated that a grand total of 240,000 to 320,000 attendees will show up during the course of the weekend with festival organizers hoping to have 80,000 a day though they admit it might be more like 60,000 attendees per day.

Summerfest 2014 Headliners Revealed

Summerfest 2014 is set to take place later this Summer in Milwaukee and now the event has revealed its full list of headliners. Artists such as Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Brand New and Fall Out Boy will be taking a trip to Wisconsin for the two-week event set to take place June 25th-29th and continue on July 1st-6th.

Festival organizers who have coined the event as “The World’s Largest Music Festival” announced the complete list of headliners through a video which begins with giving statistics about the event including “11 days, 11 stages, over 800 acts and 900,000 fans” which then transitions to the long-lost of headliners.

Watch Bruno Mars’ Halftime Show

We’re you one of the few that didn’t watch the only entertaining thing about the Super Bowl last night? Don’t sweat it, we have Bruno Mars’ full performance right here which includes four of his songs and the Red Hot Chili Peppers performing one of their songs with Mars’ and his band’s assistance.

Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Peppers to Cover Led Zeppelin

Surprised was probably how some fans felt when it was revealed that the Red Hot Chili Peppers would be taking the stage with Bruno Mars during this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. Some fans of the Hawaiian singer probably thought at first that the California-rockers were invading the singer’s special moment by announcing they would be performing as well.

Turned out that Mars had been the one to contact the Chili Peppers and invite them to perform with him during the iconic time period.

At the time, and even know, it is unknown what exactly is going to happen during that time slot, but if you take what Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith said in a recent interview, the performance is going to involved a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Daze and Confused.”

Performing with Mars won’t be the only connection that the Chili Peppers will have with the Super Bowl this year; the “Californication” group will be involved in a series of concerts around New York during the weekend.
