Rob Zombie, The Used, Bring Me the Horizon to headline Las Rageous 2019

Rob Zombie, Bring Me the Horizon, and The Used are just some of the bands heading to Las Vegas in October for the third annual Las Rageous music festival. On Tuesday (June 11), festival organizers unveiled the lineup for this year’s multi-day event.

Joining Zombie, The Used, and Bring Me the Horizon on the roster will be Chevelle, I Prevail, Dance Gavin Dance, Atreyu, Sleeping with Sirens, Beartooth, Fever 333, Whitechapel, While She Sleeps, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, He is Legend, The Hu, Shvpes, and more.

“This city has such a rich history of rock and metal music, and we are proud to continue this legacy with Las Rageous,” Live Nation Las Vegas’ Billy Conn said in a press statement.

He adds: “We are looking forward to bringing some of the world’s biggest acts to Downtown Las Vegas for the third year in a row.”

“A lot of festivals take a few years to develop loyalty in the field of tourism, but we’re seeing fans return to Las Rageous for their second or third year based on [the] quality of experience from prior years,” said Bud Pico, general manager of the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.

“Customer satisfaction significantly contributes to the social and economic benefits Las Rageous has generated for the City of Las Vegas.”

In addition to the rocking lineup, the event will also feature several new onsite activities like the Bud Light Rock & Refuel Culinary Experience featuring a wide array of dining options and an onsite wedding experience for those feeling a little romantic.

Pre-sales for previous attendees and Las Rageous subscribers begin this Wednesday, June 12, at 10 a.m. PT. For 24 hours, the price for two-day passes will be $149. After the 24-hour window closes, prices will increase to $159.

General ticket sales begin this Friday, June 14, at 10 a.m. PT.

For those feeling like going all out during this year’s event, Las Rageous will be offering two different VIP packages to choose from; the Weekend Metal VIP package and the Weekend Heavy Metal VIP package. Las Rageous will return to the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center in Las Vegas during the weekend of Oct. 18 -19.

Tool, Slipknot, blink-182 lead Aftershock 2019 lineup

Tool, Slipknot, and blink-182 are just some of the bands heading to California’s capital in October for the 2019 incarnation of the Aftershock music festival. On Tuesday (April 23), festival organizers announced the rocking lineup for the eighth annual event.

Joining Tool, Slipknot, and blink-182 on this year’s line up are Korn, Rob Zombie, Bring Me the Horizon, Marilyn Manson, Lamb of God, Halestorm, Chevelle, Dropkick Murphys, BABYMETAL, Bad Religion, Stone Temple Pilots, and many more.

“Aftershock Festival is always a unique experience for Korn compared to other festivals,” Korn’s Brian “Head” Welch says.

“One of the main reasons is we have many friends and family that live near Sacto, so it’s always like a family reunion when we play Aftershock. We’ve been gone a while and we’re coming back this year with a new album, new stage look, and a new excitement that is very contagious! We feel like we are on fire right now and our fans are gonna be fuel for the flames!”

Knowing that fans can’t get enough of the music festival, event organizers also unveiled that the festival has expanded from two days to three.

Dubbed “California’s biggest rock festival,” the event will return to its longtime home of Discovery Park in Sacramento during the weekend of Oct. 11-13.

Tickets, VIP packages, and hotel options go on sale this Friday, April 26, at noon PT. Tickets for Aftershock have sold out four years straight, so festival organizers are encouraging fans to get their tickets as soon as possible.

The official announcement comes a day after the lineup was leaked online. According to a Reddit post, the lineup was accidentally uploaded onto the festival’s website a day before it was set to go live. At the time, there was some speculation whether the lineup was real, but it turned out to be true.

Twenty One Pilots, Ariana Grande, the Strokes lead Lollapalooza 2019 lineup

Twenty One Pilots, Ariana Grande, and the Strokes are just some of the big-name acts heading to Illinois this summer for Lollapalooza 2019. On Wednesday (March 20), festival organizers unveiled their genre-diverse and lengthy lineup for this year’s festivities.

Joining Twenty One Pilots, Ariana Grande, and the Strokes on this year’s roster are: Childish Gambino, Janelle Monáe, Tame Impala, Kacey Musgraves, Lil’ Wayne, 21 Savage, Tenacious D, Death Cab For Cutie, Gary Clark Jr., The Chainsmokers, Fitz and the Tantrums, Bring Me the Horizon, Bishop Briggs, AJR, Chevelle, Hayley Kiyoko, The Revivalists, Meek Mill, Rüfüs Du Sol, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, Flume, J. Balvin, Hozier, and many more.

According to Billboard, a total of 170 acts will perform on one of eight stages during the weekend-long event.

Four-day general admission and VIP passes for Lollapalooza are currently available on the music festival’s website. Like many major music festivals, Lollapalooza will be offering layaway options for those who may be a little strapped for cash at the moment but still want to experience the insanity.

Single-day passes are currently not available, but according to Lollapalooza’s website, they are “coming soon.”

Lollapalooza will return to its longtime home of Grant Park in Chicago. The four-day event will take place during the weekend of Aug. 1 – 4.

Last year’s Lollapalooza included performances by Vampire Weekend the Arctic Monkeys, Jack White, Travis Scott, and more. For now, the full lineup can be found below.

Bring Me the Horizon enlist Grimes for ‘Nihilist Blues’

A few days after gifting fans the fourth track from their forthcoming studio album, Bring Me the Horizon is back with another new song. On Thursday (Jan. 24), the United Kingdom-founded band unleashed their fifth single from their upcoming record, Amo.

Titled “Nihilist Blues,” the five-and-a-half-minute tune features guest vocals from art-pop singer Grimes. As previously promised by the band, the new song is a complete departure from the sound fans have grown to love and appreciate. Gone are the screams and rough-around-the edge sound as the band takes on a more pop/electronic feel with the new tune. Think of it as a more electronically intense version of “Throne” (from 2015’s That’s the Spirit).

During an interview with Zane Lowe on his Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio show, frontman Oli Sykes explains how the band managed to enlist Grimes for the new song.

“I’d seen her [Grimes] in an interview that she did a year or two before that, saying like, ‘Oh, I like English bands like Bring Me the Horizon,'” begins Sykes.

“She got my number off manager after hearing it, text me and she went, ‘I am doing this song. I love it so much.’ And she was like so overwhelmingly positive about the song. She was like, ‘This is one of the greatest songs I’ve ever heard in my life. I’m definitely doing it.’ And she was just so cool about it. She wasn’t at all like the cool kid that she would just like … She’d got all the influences because the song’s quite out there in terms of what it sounds like compared to a Bring Me song.”

Bring Me the Horizon’s new album is due out in a couple of days, but that’s not stopping the group from unleashing another new song from the forthcoming release. On Tuesday (Jan. 22), the United Kingdom-founded band premiered their fourth single from their sixth studio album, Amo.

Titled “Mother Tongue,” the five-piece headed over to Zane Lowe’s World Record on Apple Music’s Beats 1 to exclusively premiere the new three-and-a-half-minute track. For those hoping that the new song would find the band returning to their hardcore roots, you will not find that in this song. Sticking to a more mellow and piano-driven sound, there’s no hint of hardcore Bring Me the Horizon this time around.

As per frontman Oli Skyes, this song is through and through a love song that was inspired by this wife.

“It’s probably the most gushing, out there, just straight-up love song we’ve ever written,” says Sykes.

“This was one of the easier ones to write because it was positive. It’s about when I first met my new wife and she’s from Brazil, and she didn’t speak so much English. She talked a lot better than my Portuguese, but from the very start, we had a really, really strong connection and it was just a crazy time. And this song’s just talking about those experiences, which they just stick in my head. So, that was really one of the easier ones to write about.”

Tool, Korn, Rob Zombie lead Welcome to Rockville 2019 lineup

Tool, Korn, Rob Zombie, and Incubus are some of the bands slated to make their way to north Florida in the spring for the ninth annual Welcome to Rockville. On Monday (Dec. 3), Danny Wimmer Presents unleashed the full lineup for next year’s edition of the annual rock and metal-centric music festival.

Joining the aforementioned acts on the event’s roster will be the Prodigy, Bring Me the Horizon, Evanescence, Chevelle, Flogging Molly, Killswitch Engage, Circa Survive, Tom Morello, Shinedown, and Judas Priest, who will make their Welcome to Rockville debut.

“Judas Priest are primed and ready to unleash new Firepower with full metal fury on the USA again as we are one of the headliners at Welcome To Rockville in Jacksonville, Florida! The Priest is back!” lead vocalist Rob Halford said in a press statement.

Chris Kilmore of Incubus adds: “We’re excited to return to Jacksonville and play at Welcome to Rockville in 2019! There are some great bands on the bill and we can’t wait to see our friends in Tool, the Prodigy, as well as many others. See you there!”

As if the lineup for next year’s event wasn’t enough, festival organizers also revealed that the yearly event has expanded from two days to three.

Dubbed “Florida’s Biggest Rock Experience,” the music festival will return to its longtime home of Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville, Florida during the weekend of May 3-5.

Last year’s event was certificated sold out with a whopping 90,000 attendees showing up for the two-day event.

Foo Fighters, System of a Down, Joan Jett lead inaugural Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival

The inaugural Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival is about to show all other music festivals how to put together a rocking roster. On Monday (Nov. 26), Danny Wimmer Presents unveiled the lengthy lineup for the inaugural Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival. The forthcoming festival, which will replace Ohio’s long-running Rock on the Range, will feature some of the biggest names in the rock and metal genre.

The Foo Fighters, System of a Down, Disturbed, Bring Me the Horizon, the Prodigy, Ghost, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Chevelle, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and the Cult are just some of the major acts that will make their way to Columbus in mid-May.

Joining the aforementioned artists on the bill will be Tom Morello, Killswitch Engage, In This Moment, Parkway Drive, Beartooth, Scars on Broadway, Architects, Avatar, Bad Wolves, The Fever 333, Badflower, The Glorious Sons, Issues, Yungblud, H09909, Black Pistol Fire, Scarlxrd, Zeal & Ardor, Basement, The Black Dahlia Murder, and more.

In addition to the long-list of bands, Sonic Temple will also include a comedy and spoken word tent. Andrew Dice Clay, Henry Rollins, and Pauly Shore have been confirmed with more acts to be announced at a later date.

“Although in its inaugural year, Sonic Temple’s pedigree is proven, and its roots are strong; it made total sense for us to be involved,” System of a Down’s Shavo Odadjian said in a press statement. “One could argue that it was a long time coming. We’ll see you all in Columbus this May.”

Disturbed’s David Draiman mirrors Odadjian sentiment: “We are honored to share the stage with all of our amazingly talented friends and colleagues at the upcoming Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio. Are You Ready?!?!”

The Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival will make its debut at the MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio during the weekend of May 17 – 19.

The upcoming three-day event will replace Columbus’ long-running Rock on the Range Festival. Back in September, Danny Wimmer Presents announced plans to put an end to Rock on The Range, but assured rock and metal fans that something bigger would be coming.

“When we started Rock on the Range, there was no other festival in America quite like it but recently it became clear that we had different visions of where to take the festival next. The city of Columbus and our devoted rock fans deserve a one-of-a-kind, world-class festival, and that is exactly what Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival will bring to MAPFRE Stadium.”

Bring Me the Horizon add Thrice to upcoming North American tour

Bring Me the Horizon already announced plans to embark on a massive North American tour in the new year, but now, the group has announced who will be joining them during the month-long trek. On Monday (Nov. 19), the British band confirmed that Thrice will join them, and previously announced the Fever 333, on their forthcoming “First Love” tour.

“We are excited to announce that we will be heading out on tour with Bring Me the Horizon this January-February,” Thrice posted on their official Twitter account while Bring Me the Horizon simply uploaded an updated version of their tour flyer to include the California rockers.

The “First Love” tour is in support of Bring Me the Horizon’s forthcoming new album, Amo. Originally set for a Jan. 11 release date, the record will now see a release date of Jan. 25 via Sony Music/ RCA Records. Pre-orders for the album are currently available on the band’s website.

Like Bring Me the Horizon, the upcoming tour will be in support of Thrice’s new album, Palms. The group released the record, their tenth studio effort, in September. The album peaked at the number two spot on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart and peaked at the top spot on the Top Hard Rock Albums and Independent Albums chart.

Bring Me the Horizon enlist Cradle of Filth’s Dani Filth for ‘Wonderful Life’

Two months after releasing their first new song in years, Bring Me the Horizon are back with another new tune. On Tuesday (Oct. 23), the British band unleashed “Wonderful Life,” the second single from their forthcoming new record. In addition to debuting the new tune which features guest vocals by Cradle of Filth frontman Dani Filth, the band also released the lyric for the four-and-a-half minute clip.

The clip features the members of the band and Filth going about their day performing mundane tasks like mowing the law, walking the dog, going for a jog, washing the car, parenting, and grocery shopping. Watch the lyric video for “Wonderful Life” above.

During a recent interview with Daniel P. Carter on his BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, frontman Oli Sykes revealed that “Wonderful Life” was originally intended for Limp Bizkit.

“Last year, me and Jordan [Fish] went and worked with Fred Durst on a Limp Bizkit album. It just didn’t work out, to be honest,” begins Sykes.

“He just didn’t show up most of the time. Lovely guy, but I don’t think he was ready to make an album. I think he was pushed into it a bit, like his managers and people said ‘These are the guys you want to work with.’ So we gave him all these ideas and I mean it was just bad from day one, to be honest.”

Sykes continues: “It’s one of them things, looking back, where it wasn’t meant to be. One good thing came out of it: me and Jordan wrote this riff and I one day decided to the tempo and key matched almost perfectly with this song. We we de-Bizkit’d it a bit and it ended up sounding pretty sick.”

“Wonderful Life” will join lead single “MANTRA” on Bring Me the Horizon’s upcoming sixth studio album. After announcing the album’s release date was pushed back two weeks, Amo is now due out Jan. 25 rather than Jan. 11. Pre-orders for the new record are currently available on the band’s website.

Amo is the follow-up to the group’s 2015 release, That’s the Spirit.
