Doja Cat channels her inner Harley Quinn in her ‘Birds of Prey’ contribution

We all know Harley Quinn is a ‘boss bitch.’

Just look at all the different versions we’ve been given over the past couple of decades. So, should we be surprised that someone made a song celebrating her awesomeness?

The answer is no.

On Friday (Jan. 24), Atlantic Records released another new song from the upcoming Birds of Prey soundtrack. This week, the honor went to Doja Cat and her song “Boss Bitch,” which celebrates just that, being a powerful woman who does what she wants with a devil-may-care attitude.

To coincide with the audio’s release, the rapper and the record label released its accompanying music video. The barely three-minute clip feature never-before-seen footage from the Harley Quinn-centric flick as well as footage of Doja Cat channeling everyone’s favorite spunky anti-hero.

The music video manages to mesh both the film’s footage and clips that were probably recorded at a later time seamlessly that makes you almost feel like you’ll see Doja Cat make a cameo in the actual movie.

“Boss Bitch” is the third single off Birds of Prey: The Album.

“Boss Bitch” joins previously released tunes “Diamonds” from Megan thee Stallion and Normani and “Joke’s on You” from Charlotte Lawrence on the soundtrack.

More songs from the album will be released in the upcoming weeks leading to the debut of the film.

Birds of Prey: The Album is due out Feb. 7. Pre-orders for the record are available here.

Birds of Prey: The Album was executive produced by Harley Quinn herself Margot Robbie, the film’s director Cathy Yan, Sue Kroll, and Bryan Unkeless.

Birds of Prey: The Album will feature a “badass girl gang” of musicians including Halsey, Sofi Tukker, Summer Walker, Lauren Jauregui, and Jurnee Smollett-Bell who portrays Black Canary in the film.

This is no joke: Charlotte Lawrence drops her ‘Birds of Prey’ soundtrack contribution

The joke is definitely going to be on the Joker when Harley Quinn has her way with the Clown Prince of Gotham in “Birds of Prey”…and we’re all for it.

On Friday (Jan. 17), Atlantic Records unleashed the second single from the Birds of Prey soundtrack. This week, the record label debuted Charlotte Lawrence’s pop meets soul contribution “Joke’s on You.”

To coincide with the audio’s release, the lyric video for the three-minute tune was also unleashed. The lyric video is simple, taking inspiration from the film’s color scheme of neon colors superimposed on a black background.

“Joke’s on You” is the second track to be released from Birds of Prey: The Album. Last week, “Diamonds” by Megan Thee Stallion and Normani was unveiled. Since its debut last Friday, the track has amassed a total of 10 million streams.

According to Atlantic Records, they will celebrate the soundtrack’s early February release “with a massive rollout leading up to the soundtrack and film’s arrival on February 7th, including exclusive new singles and mind-blowing music videos.”

‘Birds of Prey’ soundtrack features a ‘badass girl gang’ lineup

The Birds of Prey are ready to kick ass and take names and not just on the big screen.

On Friday (Jan. 10), Atlantic Records announced the title, release date, and tracklisting for the “Birds of Prey” soundtrack. Titled Birds of Prey: The Album, the 15-track collection, is due out Feb. 7.

The compilation features a “badass girl gang” of musicians including Halsey, Sofi Tukker, Charlotte Lawrence, Summer Walker, Lauren Jauregui, and Black Canary herself Jurnee Smollett-Bell performing an original song as her character in the film.

According to a press statement, the record and film “will be celebrated with a massive rollout leading up to the soundtrack and film’s arrival on February 7th, including exclusive new singles and mind-blowing music videos.”

In keeping up with that promise, the record label unleashed the first official single from the album, “Diamonds.” The track is performed by former Fifth Harmony member Normani and “Hot Girl Summer” mastermind Megan Thee Stallion (and yes, it is a take on Marilyn Monroe’s iconic song “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” from “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”).
