Activision Unveil More ‘Guitar Hero Live’ Bands

Months after announcing the resurrection of the once beloved game, the company behind “Guitar Hero” is back to announce even more additions the upcoming video game.

Previously, Activision had revealed that bands like Of Mice & Men, Deftones, Bring Me the Horizon, Pierce the Veil, Fall Out Boy, and My Chemical Romance would be feature on the game with a lot more to be unveiled in the upcoming months before the game’s release.

Today (Aug. 5), Activision has kept their promise and released the identities of even more artists to be features on “Guitar Hero Live’s” track list. English band You Me at Six, newcomers Echosmith, Panic! at the Disco, and Blink-182 are just some bands who have been added to the already packed list.

“Guitar Hero Live” is set to be released on Oct. 20, 2015 and will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Wii U, and mobile devices.

Vans Warped Tour Day One to Stream on Yahoo

With a week until the 2015 Vans Warped Tour is slated to kick off their summer trek, organizers have revealed that the first day of the festivities are going to be broadcast live.

Those who might not be able to attend this year’s traveling rock show due to issues, will get the opportunity to watch 30 artists from this years line-up on four different stages from the comfort of their homes. The live broadcast will also feature backstage access as well as some behind-the-scenes footage.

The stream of the Pomona, CA stop on June 19 will go live at 11 a.m. PST (2 p.m. for those on the east coast) on Yahoo.

Vans Warped Tour Unveil Complete 2015 Line-Up

After months of patiently waiting for Warped Wednesdays to get the newest additions to this year’s line-up, the wait has officially come to an end. Yesterday at the Vans Warped Tour Kick-Off concert nine artists were unveiled and today another one was added to that list. To the surprise, or maybe not, of everyone the final band to be hitting main stage this Summer will be Pierce the Veil.

Kerrang! Announce Nominees for the 2014 Kerrang! Awards

Kerrang!, probably one of the best rock music publications at the moment have revealed the full list of nominees for this year’s Relentless Kerrang! Awards. The award ceremony is set to take place on June 12 at London’s Troxy with Andrew W.K. and Scott Ian hosting the festivities. Taking the lead this year with the most nominations are You Me At Six representing for their home country. Also nominated for awards are Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Biffy Clyro and newcomers, 5 Seconds of Summer.

Fest 12 is set to invade Gainesville, FL for Halloween and now the festival has added 38 more bands to their already big line up. The official press release for the new additions can be seen below:

Just a reminder, ALL BANDS PLAYING PRE-FEST WILL BE PLAYING FEST 12. However, many of the bands will be playing “Special” sets at PRE-FEST in Ybor. We will be announcing this info hopefully next month as well as the BIG PRE-FEST IN LITTLE YBOR schedule!  So, if you can make it down for the long run, you will be in store for a treat. Or, if you can’t make it on FEST 12  weekend, here is a chance to attend PRE-FEST and see a big chunk of the bands playing FEST 12!

By now you have probably seen the video of Jimmy Kimmel and his ‘Lie Witness News’ crew getting Coachella goers to embarrass themselves by asking them about bands that don;t really exist. “These bands are so obscure that they don’t even exists” quips the late night show host.

Bands such as the Chelsea Clintons, the Obesity Epidemic, Regis & the Philbins and Dr. Shlohmo & the G.I. Clinic made the make-believe list. Check out the funniness down below.
