A week after announcing the release of their full-length debut, Knuckle Puck have now released the music video for one of the track off the record, “Disdain.”

While talking to Alternative Press guitarist Kevin Maida had nothing but good things to say about director Max Moore and how his attention to detail worked well for the band.

“Filming with Max Moore for ‘Disdain’ was truly incredible. His attention to detail and range of creativity worked very well with us. We could not be more excited to finally show people what the next chapter of our band will sound like with the new album.”

Check out the music video below.

“Disdain” will be featured on Copacetic which is set to be released on July 31 through Rise Records. In support of the impending release, the Illinois band will be performing on the Vans Warped Tour this Summer.

Knuckle Puck Giving Away Complete Discography

image

It’s not even Christmas and the guys from Knuckle Puck are giving their fans a massive gift to be grateful for.

The Illinois-based band announced last night on all their social media accounts that they would be giving away their complete discography for free on Bandcamp.

The catch? The deadline.

For those interested in obtaining all the EPs the band have produced since their inception, the files need to be downloaded before Thursday, June 11.

Not too much of a big deal since the weekend is right around the corner.

Check out their announcement directly from Facebook below.

The free music announcement comes a couple of months after the band revealed they had finished recording their full-length debut record. No official release date has been given for the impending album besides that it will be released through Rise Records.

But don’t count on them being lazy and sitting around until the record hits stores. They just wrapped up a tour alongside The Maine, Real Friends, and the Technicolors (“The American Candy Tour”) last month and are slated to begin the two-month summer trek that is the 2015 Vans Warped Tour in a couple of weeks.

Maybe we’ll get a title and release date for the new album during Warped?

La Dispute Give Fans Pay-What-You-Can Option For Complete Discography

image

The holidays are the best time to give back to the community and once again, La Dispute will be doing the same.

Earlier in the day, the band revealed they would once again be giving fans the chance to “pay-what-they-can” for the band’s complete discography, as well as a couple of unreleased tracks, on their Bandcamp.

Any and all donations given to the band through this will be donated directly to The Wellhouse, an organization that helps combat homelessness in Grand Rapids, MI.

Read the letter directly from the band to their fans advising them about this great opportunity to give back to those who are less fortunate than the rest of us.

“OK, let’s try this again.

Greetings!

It’s hard to believe that yet another year is coming to a close. It’s been a whirlwind– releasing our 3rd full-length album, Rooms of the House, touring for nearly 4 months straight, and taking multiple short bursts around the world to play various events and festivals with new friends and old. In recent months, we’ve been fortunate to be able to spend time with our families and loved ones, making plans for the future and working towards new things.

In keeping with tradition, we wanted to do something special this holiday season that would be our way of saying thank you to all those who have supported us and stayed with us throughout the years. All this, whatever this is, has become more than any of us could have possibly imagined. It’s overwhelming, really. Baffling even, at times. Ultimately, it’s an honor to be a part of it and we’re so grateful to be able to share it with all of you.

Well enough chit-chat, let’s get to the goodies. As we have done in the past, on December 25 we are opening up our Bandcamp page to pay-what-you-can downloads with the stipulation that all donations will be given to an organization of which we are locally connected to. This year, we have again chosen to support the Wellhouse in Grand Rapids, MI. It is especially pertinent this time of year to consider those who will not have the privilege of shelter and warm food, good company and gifts, while so many of us freely travel to our homes. Wellhouse Grand Rapids has been combating the effects of homelessness by creating spaces and providing opportunities for people to step out of their current situations. You can find more information about the work they are doing at their website (I’ll post below) which we encourage you to check out.

As far as the music goes, you’ll find that there are a few new things up for your downloading consumption, including two previously unreleased BBC sessions, one from earlier this year and another from back in 2011 when we visited Maida Vale with Touche Amore.

A note about downloads: if you are planning to download several albums or songs, please consider combining your donations into one lump sum on one of your downloads, instead of multiple small donations. This will help minimize fees and maximize the money that will be able to be donated.

Thank you for being you.

Big News from The Ataris’ Camp

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the Ataris will be heading out on a reunion tour where they will performing their hit 2003 album So Long, Astoria in full.

Another thing making this reunion tour something to look forward to? The original line-up of the band will be the ones heading out on the tour.

So Long, Astoria was the band’s only release through major label, Columbia which eventually went to gold, sealing it as the band’s most successful album to date.

Also adding more good news for fans, the band have released a 54-track playlist on their BandCamp account with demo tracks from the album which can also be download.
