Avenged Sevenfold to Re-Release ‘Waking the Fallen’

Avenged Sevenfold have announced that they will be re-releasing their sophomore album, Waking the Fallen.

The re-release which is titled fittingly, Waking the Fallen: Resurrected, is the album that shot A7X into the mainstream with “Unholy Confession.”

The album is scheduled to be released on August 26; exactly 11 years after the album made its official debut.

Not only is the album’s release planned down to the exact date that it came out in 2003, it will also be released through the band’s former record label, through whom they released the record, Hopeless Records.

The reissue will release 11 previously unheard tracks, new artwork, the original cut of the “Unholy Confession” music video, and a 30-minute film featuring archived footage of the band alla All Excess DVD, we assume.

For those needing to add this reissue to their A7X collection, Hopeless has already begun pre-orders over at their site.

Download Festival Add More Performers

UPDATE: Download Festival has revealed another list of performers for this Summer’s festivities so check out the updated flyer.

The Download Festival has revealed the newest addition to their quickly growing line-up this year’s festival.

Previously, it was announced that Avenged Sevenfold would be headlining the event with their show scheduled for the first day of the festival; that Friday. Also performing on that Friday, is previously announced Rob Zombie.

But now, the festival organizers have added more names to their ever-growing list for the show that is set to take place during the weekend June 13- June 15 at Donington Park in the United Kingdom. Bad Religion, Bowling For Soup, Bury Tomorrow, Opeth, Black Label Society, Flogging Molly and many more have been added tot he flyer for the festival which can be seen below.

In a previous interview, event organizer Andy Copping said that he would love to secure a reunited Led Zeppelin, Van Halen and the original line-up of Guns N’ Roses as future headliners, but with about five months left to go, here’s to hoping that he gets what he wants.

2014 Rock on the Range Line Up Unveiled

It’s definitely been the week of the festivals releasing the line ups for their events all thanks to Coachella releasing their list of performers last week. While most of the festivals have had a mostly similar line up, Ohio’s Rock on the Range is full of, like the name says, rock bands.

Headlining the event are Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me the Horizon, Of Mice & Men, We Came As Romans, Killswitch Engage, Miss May I and Kid Rock, but the biggest name on the reveal has to be Guns N’ Roses.

The full list of bands can be seen here:

The three-day festival is set to take place in Columbus, OH during the weekend of March 16 through 18 at Crew Stadium. Pre-sale tickets will be available Tuesday, January 21 on the music festival’s official site. And for a festival that’s tagline is “the biggest rock festival in the US” it really stays true to that with this line up.

Avenged Sevenfold Release ‘Shepherd of Fire’ Video

Avenged Sevenfold have been having a pretty good week. First came the news that they would be performing at next year’s Download Festival in the United Kingdom and it had also been confirmed that they would be performing at the Soundwave Festival in Australia as well.

Adding more good news to fans of the band, they have released their new music video for the song, “Shepherd of Fire.” The music video is very reminiscent of their mainstream breakthrough video for “Bat Country” which plays tribute to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Instead of describing how cool it is to see Synyster Gates play guitar on the hood of the moving car or how frontman M. Shadows navigates the band, you can watch the full video below.

“Shepherd of Fire” is the band’s second music video from their recently released album, Hail to the King which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.

Avenged Sevenfold Added to Download Festival

Summer has only been over for a little while, but it has already been confirmed that Avenged Sevenfold will be headlining next year’s Download Festival. The annual festival which takes place at Donington Park in the United Kingdom has already revealed that the festival is scheduled to take place during the weekend of June 13- June 15.

Organizers have revealed that the California-based band will be performing on the Friday of the event. Also joining Avenged Sevenfold on their scheduled day will be Rob Zombie.

While those two names have already been confirmed, event organizer Andy Copping said that he would love to secure a reunited Led Zeppelin, Van Halen and the original line-up of Guns N’ Roses as future headliners; so far, his wishes have not been answered.

This past year’s Download Festival on the other hand, had quite a line-up including the likes of Slipknot, Rammstein and Iron Maiden as headliners while 30 Seconds To Mars, Queens Of The Stone Age, Motorhead, Enter Shikari, A Day To Remember and Bullet For My Valentine were “supporting” acts.

As for Avenged Sevenfold, the band released their sixth studio album, Hail to the King this past August which made it to number one on the Billboard 200.

Avenged Sevenfold Reveal New Album, Tour

Yesterday, Avenged Sevenfold release their new song, “Hail to the King” through UK magazine, Kerrang’s website. The song which will be featured on their upcoming album also to titled, Hail to the King will be the band’s first new album since 2010’s Nightmare which debuted in the top spot on the Billboard 200; their first time doing such a thing.

While a brand new album could be enough of a gift to eager fans, the band also confirmed that they will be heading out on tour with Deftones and Ghost B.C. this Fall. Talks about the three bands going out on tour together was just that, talk until it was officially confirmed with the release of official tour stops.

Pre-orders for the new album are now on sale on the band website here and the video for the new track can be seen below as well as their tour stops.
